If only he'd indulged himself by issuing some haughty, cringeworthy statement about deploring a weak CPS decision to charge him with murder, the supine British media would probably have fallen at his feet in awe.

An exciting new legal era truly has dawned though wouldn't you say?

I for one am looking forward to hearing all manner of selectively amnesiac spies, spivs and washing-line knicker-thieves lambasting those pesky, toffee-nosed, law-abiding CPS decision-makers. How very DARE these CPS folk persecute the privileged elite or merely well-connected? Don't these clowns know that some people are above the law?
