Inever saw anything like it-----kept getting matched at silly prices of 1.19 to 1.74 and even bits at 2.8, 3.9, and 4.5----kept going in til bank was empty, then deposited another 1500 and kept going....UNREAL----like Christmas-----someones 'bot' got well and truly f ucked there and I was happy enough to go all the way.....LUV IT

not for that long period of time.....everytime i went in to purchase UConn, it got matched----had to double check score to make sure i wasnt imagining what was happening

Nuts. Could hardly believe my eyes. Hesitated at first but then dumped my bank on it. For once 'free money' comes true! I wonder what the background was. Somebody must have dumped the guts of 100k.

Felt too good to be true! I kept double checking to make sure I wasn't on a women's basketball market and UConn v Arizona happened to be on at exactly the same time! I was watching UConn cut down the nets and 1.5 was still sitting in the window with 1000s of euro available. Insane. Some poor chap must be feeling pretty down on himself right now.

I went to the kitchen after it finished, and when I came back I couldn't believe it; I was watching it in Espn America..I didn't believe it, so I din't get any of the free money; I thought that was not possible ; it lasted well over 3 minutes!!!.

i ended up purchasing at those tasty prices, then laid back at 1.1sh which also was getting matched , then rebought again at the higher prices and even deposited more to get as much as i could while the free going was on....WE wont see anything like that again for some time-----been doing this for over 10 years and never seen it before----GLAS was part of it, witnessed it, and cleaned up

At first I thought there was a problem with a last second basket and the officials were checking with the video review (I went to the kitchen in the timeout after the three pointer, 30 seconds or so left); then I simple didn't believe even after I saw Uconn players celebrating and cutting the net of the hoop!!!

owen----i did the same, LOL,---checking to make sure it wasnt the womens market or something else....CRAZY stuff----bets will stand, cause it was in running and nothing different from someone who has a faster pic of lets say 5 seconds, but in this case it lasted for 3-4 minutes

i would have been ok with buying at 1.01 and sopping up any gravy, but when 1.5-1.7 kept getting matched, well, like someone said earlier in the thread....a true FREE MONEY incident, unfortunately at the expense of someone else, but this is a dog eat dog site and lets just say an expensive lesson for someone

I don't think it makes sense that someone was watching a delayed feed. The way the market was spiking after the game ended didn't follow the pattern of the last few minutes of play of the actual game. UConn were never above 2.5 during the actual game but they were available at over 3 for a while after the game ended! I think it must have been a bot or some sort of glitch. There was massive amounts of money pouring in. I think over 350,000 euro was matched after the game ended and only 70,000 or so during the actual game!!!

nothing different from when an event is over and not suspended and 1.01's are getting hoovered up----in this case, we were all lucky to be hoovering up at LOVELY prices on an event that was already over

yes; that was very very strange; the whole thing is strange; I've being doing this for a very long time; and this is the first time something like these has happened...

@ G-man: It's totally different to hovering up 1.01s that are left in a market after the event is over but hasn't suspended. That happens when somebody forgets to cancel bets, etc. This was new money coming in, and LOTS of it, but at higher odds than UConn had been matched at during the whole game. Very very odd. Certainly not complaining but struggling to understand it.

glad owen and curly are here to confirm what was happeneing, because it really is an unbelievable thing, but quite easy to explain and talk about it cause you guys were in on the gravy train as well.......and owen is right about the 3.0 available after the finish, cause I got matched at that and 2.8 and even 4.5 (but only for like 6 quid at that price) way after the game ended----then got the rest at 1.5-1.7.....man, I am buzzing----wont divulge how much, but four figures

I think that a great deal of the money available on connecticut was coming from the guys that had previously laid Arizona in prices as low as 1.3. They were looking to green out and repeat. That explains why conn's price was rising. Until the bot's money finished and the cycle broke

owen---know its totally different to hoovering up 1.01's----was just making a statement as to how the bets will stand, because nothing different from 1.01's getting matched after an in-running event, as opposed to 1.6's
....but, as you stated, the money just kept pouring in----still actually buzzing and glad i went in with head down, full force, otherwise would be regretting not copping the giveaway to its max

@ G-man, you're right. Don't think there is much can be done - just a very expensive mistake for somewhere. I'll be putting the spoils towards my trip to Vegas in June!

owen----true that and wise words....hey, if it wasnt you, me and some of the others getting it, well, someone else would have....i have been turned over before on a tennis match that the BBC were showing, and was like a two set lag, so got butned for some, but then noticed the unusual betting and stopped before it got too bad.
Enjoy the Vegas trip mate, nice when it's at someones expense, and might sound vicious and cruel, but that's the way it goes on here, so i have no guilt whatsoever, and am using my dough to fund my trip to Atlantic City in August as well as Saratoga races in upstate New York----free trip

in the previous game when butler (the outsiders) were trailing someone kept firing in attempts to back at them at easily odds on for a while. of course the first time i caught one of them those rapidly became the correct odds and i didn't make a profit.
so something funny was going on there too. i suspect a haywire bot.

I noticed that in the first game - after laying the 1.3 butler came out and hit a 3 pointer so i thought our pictures must be miles behind
centrebet had the scores the wrong way round throughout both matches - so maybe some score feed was messed up

the thing was espn was on a break when the money came in - so i thought they were reviewing the last shot or something, then they came back and were cutting down the nets and the money was still sitting there never seen anything like it

@curlywurly It was more than 100k, for the whole game it was 70k, it ended arround 420K, so it was around 350K, an explanation from Betfair would be nice. The only explanation I have is that someone hacked to an account and begun dumping the money. Other explanation does not make any sense, because odds had nothing to do with delayed images, or even a mixup of the names of the teams (odds were between 1.5 and 4).

I didn't see this happen, or have the opportunity to capitalise :) , but could it have had something to do with the fact that British Summer Time started (and hence the clocks changed) while the game was taking place? Maybe a bot got confused and thought the game hadn't started and then started laying the winning team at its pre-off price? Bit of an outlandish explanation I know, but this seems to be a rather peculiar occurrence and the reason for it may be equally strange.

that doesn't make sense, because the winning team was the favourite through all the game; and after it ended odds as high as 4 were matched!! who lays the favourite 4 to 1? I have the same time zone as UK and it had nothing to do with that; the game ended before the clock change.
