A fairly uninspiring day for me today. I think I should probably have picked one earlier in the week, but you usually think there will be at least a few on a Saturday that you would be quite happy with. At the moment I think I am likely to be either with Came From The Dark in the 3.00 Newmarket or Well Educated in the 5.50 at Hexham but something else might spring out and make me change my mind before 3.00

Sods law, if duke had been a minute later in posting that would have been a winner for us. I am thinking of going for one tomorrow rather than waiting until later in the week.

I have just gone for Heights Of Abraham in the 2.05 Hamilton. It's first run of the season was just that and I suspect this race would have been the early season target. Stable just coming into form and hopefully the gelding operation will have a positive effect in his form this year.

Nothing much takes my fancy tomorrow, so I think I will go for one I did last time, Heights Of Abraham in the 7.20 Hamilton. The horse that beat it last time Forza Orta ran a good second at York this week off a 5lb higher mark. No point in going EW due to out position in the table.

I am not sure whether qqking will be around tomorrow as he posted elsewhere for Saturday and Sunday this morning. So I think we need to have a wildcard ready if necessary. undecided and myself have already used a wildcard so it should be other members of our team that should post one tomorrow if necesaary. Any volunteers? Post here if you are interested.

I am in some of the worse form of my life, which I find difficult to believe, given how low my general standard is anyway.

I am therefore volunteering to do the wildcard if need be as one's luck must eventually change.........surely!

As captain I do not think it is my responsibility normally  to tell anyone what or how to make selections. However, due to our current position, I see no point in going EW on anything at this point in this heat of the competition. My original pick for today is now a non-runner so I am afraid I have again reverted to Bringitonboris in the 5.15 York. To save last minute panic, it would be appreciated if all selections could be posted by 2.45 so that there is less of a scramble to post a wildcard selection before 3.00.

Well done undecided and lockup for their nice winners yesterday and qqking earlier in the week. I think finishing 3rd this round was probably as well as we could have hoped for after our performance in the first week. Let us see if we can try and get at least one victory from one of the two heats left. Again could I ask everyone to make their posting no later than 2.45 on Saturday. Thanks to lockup for making the wildcard selection yesterday, so he together with undecided and myself have made a wildcard selection, so if any further wildcard is required, it should be from one of our other team members if possible.
I am considering going for one at York today that is trading at 64/1 on here at the moment, but I will decide later on.

Nothing all week then three come along on the same day - at least their not in the same race which is often the case!!

Going to plump for Dee Star in the 5.39 Cartmel EW. Horse has plenty of form at the track, stable in good form and 2nd to the top weight in this last year (is actually 1lb worse off today) but hoping the jock will make the difference.

Others I like are Mah Mate Bob in the 4,29 at Cartmel and Pencreek in the 7.00 at Ffos Las - just in case I have to aftertime if my selection loses

Will wait before posting just in case DS takes a walk in the market

I am afraid I will not be around for the rest of the day, so could someone take control to make sure if we need a wildcard selection to be made defore 3.00 that one is made. As The Sawyer appears to have a few selections in mind and he has not yet made a wildcard selection,so it would seem that he should be the person to make the selection if required.
I have no great fancy today but have ended up going for Fools Rush In in the 3.45 Chester.

Can't decide to go for one to win this heat or a shorter priced one to try and move up the table a bit. I think I will wait until after Castletown has run and see what the position loks like then.

A  fairly poor end to the competition after reaching our peak in the last round. Thanks to all the team members for taking part and I hope everyone enjoyed the competition regardless of our performance and the result. Hopefully we can have another go next year
