Very surprised at the price of 4 now. Maybe I just don't understand this game? Back 4 big at 9.4. |

Depressing result at Bel. :( Guess the distance didn't suit the 4 at all.

4 at 1.36. Can't see why this is any bigger than 1.2. |

#12 at woodbine

MTH R10
7 at 9.0. Don't understand this price at all. Okay, the class drop looks dodgy, but I'd be very scared laying something coming from a much better class at that price. |

Unlucky at Woodbine Kp. :(

yeah, think i might wait for the oz stuff - i seem to do alright there
|

Turf at Belmont next. I tend to find some good value here.
|
By:
k - my shortlist so far includes #11 must break the duck soon; #9 due to the jock, always liked Carmouche; #5 and #1

Belmont R9
1 at 4.3. Sometimes this class drop can be dodgy, but Chad Brown has an excellent record with horses dropping from maiden special weights to maiden claimers. Excellent value. |
By:
Irad is pretty reliable
|
By:
yeah, the #11 looks like beaten fav on about 6 occasions

BEL R9
3 at 4.3 Going to have to back the 3 at 4.3 as well now that the price has drifted. William Mott has an excellent record with horses second time out off a 180 day+ layoff. |

Do you mean

Sorry ignore my last message!.
I see what you mean about the 11. |
By:
lol - i'm having the minimum on the gorgeous grey
|
By:
great call - a 1-2

Thanks a lot Kp! Very satisfying result for me. I did like your reasoning about the 11. That was an uncharacteristic performance by it and I do think it'll break its maiden soon enough.

By:
Just enough time to nail the next at LAD.
|
By:
should have worded it better - just looked too risky in the end - losing can become a habit

2 at 1.75. Wire to wire. Good break and this is very difficult to get hold of. |
By:
can't believe it drifted that much

2-5-7 Chance for a break before Penn. Looking forward to it. Tends to be a goldmine! Be right back. |

Was going to say exactly the same thing about the price drift. I saw it at the last minute and was scrambling to put more money on it, but too late.

6 at 3.9. Very fast animal. More than capable of wiring this field. |

can't see past #2 in the next @ Penn - maybe #1 could sneak it if it goes out too hard

Penn R2
Good luck Kp. I've got a feeling that 2 is no longer the same horse since leaving the Timothy Kreiser barn. I prefer the 3 at 6.6 which has made a positive barn change. |
By:
Wouldn't begrudge you the win at all though.
|
By:
hmmm if the 2 can outpace the 11, it might have it easy, but if 11 duels with the 2, 2 could get warn down. I think that's a key to this race.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 11 has lost its pace since moving barn, which could make things quite comfortable for the 2. |
By:
odds are getting a bit short for me now - maybe a watching brief
|
By:
If it wasn't for the 3's recent 1 mile+ workouts, I wouldn't have faith in its fitness and I'd be joining you on the 2. I am little suspicious as to why the 3's been moved to Penn and put up for sale. It could be a donkey that Hendriks is trying to get rid of.
|
By:
So you haven't backed the 2 yet?
|
By:
lol - that's the trouble with US racing, too many variables!
|
By:
There are a lot of variables. I enjoy the variables though. Makes it more interesting and exploitable if you know how weight the variables. I really hope you backed the 2!
|
By:
and the one i decide to watch......comes in!
