I'm a complete novice when it comes to Yank racing but I've noticed a pattern emerging. Them jocks are desperate for them  3 maybe 4 births going round that final bend.

IMO saratoga is fair the last couple of days but monmouth is a notorious front runner track. The turf races at sara are tricky because every race seems to be a photo very tight turf courses

Fair amount of angst on here tonight lads, as jasrich has pointed out, it often pays to get a handle on the track before playing,it should also be remembered that the majority of US horses are trained to go from the off, it is often just a case of whoever gets the best break makes the pace.
It is true that not many win from the back but that is usually because the race is not run at a true pace, if the pace is good it takes an exceptional horse to lead and win over a distance of ground, obviously sprints are completely different.
It is essential to arm yourself with all the details you can of each horses run style and work the race through your head as to what is likely to happen, surprisingly there are very few variations in most cases and for the majority of races run you can usually narrow it down to two or three that have any chance of winning, trouble is it doesn't get any easier trying to pick one from three...!

I understand that that races get run  not at a true pace. The Jockeys and the low grade nags they are on get caught out all the time.

surely there is a system there though I did see him win on a fav the other night. They must be rarer then rocking horse **** when he is on them though. He seems to be about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike for sure.

He still gets his fair share of winners but at longer prices these days, anytime the money is on he fails to get very vigorous or rides to hard from the start to ensure it gets passed in the straight

anyone think that the tapeta surface at PRESQ is another where horses dont seem to win by wide margins
