Good post and how right you are.
I realised back in 2002 just how big Internet Shopping would get and researched 'Google Words' with a view to setting up some kind of online advertising business. But I didn't do it. However, all I needed to have done was buy shares in the companies making online shopping software. I certainly over complicated things there! So, what is next? Well, supplying dashboard cameras might be a good way to go. I am of the view that insurance companies, sooner rather than later, will issue for free dashboard cams to all their customers so as to avoid the ever increasing amount of bogus claims and put the ambulance chasing lawyers in their place. It would only be business lasting for a while but there'd surely be money in it! Here's another one - outsourcing the Lost Property departments of big public places (shops, leisure centres, transport, etc.) Centralise it, computerise it and charge a fee. I know for a fact how despised looking after Lost Property is at many places.. |

Good post, The Knight. Apparently there are one and a half million whiplash injury claims pending in the UK.

There was another announcement last week of further cracking down on whiplash claims:

Thought of an idea.If they can use cameras the way that google earth has used them, then they can record going around the aisles in the shops, and shoppers only need to move forward and side to side on their laptop. When they spot something that they fancy they can zoom in.
Shops would only need to update it weekly. It would give shoppers a virtual shop, not computer generated.I see this as the way forward.A lot better than just clicking off names on a list.It would retain the shopping experience as it is now.It would also be a nice alternative for the shoppers that like to browse. |
