I admit I love how feisty Emma is being with the media etc at the moment. We know what happened in New York the last time she got to the last 16 at Wimbledon. A fun battle of the Brits looming in the second round too.
Leylah had a great run in Cincinatti, taking down Rybakina and Caramba's cheat pick, nearly beating JPeg and also getting to the doubles final. Probably just as well she didn't wear herself out at Tennis in the land.

So good to see Kristina Dimitruk back and nearly winning two tinpots in a row. She went off the radar for months (edy mentioned she'd been injured) but still just 20 and maybe she can start to make progress again going in 2025.

As a big Marta fan I'm hoping she has a good US Open but what has happened to her year after looking in April like she was about to break through to the top tier she's done pretty much nothing over the summer.

She could have done with a couple of easy rounds to ease back into some kind of form but has drawn the first round matchup from hell with Kessler.
