The Berlin stadium announcer is thoroughly explaining the medical timeout to the crowd. That's rare.

I just don't think he's a particularly great grass court player, though he did win some smaller events on it. Against a top grass court player Fritz is going out at Wimbledon first time he meets one. I'd make him 200's for Wimbledon or bigger.

The "problem" is that aren't many top grass court players. It's really only Alcaraz and Djokovic. Sinner might be. Rafa is injured. Then there are players like Kyrgios (out), Berrettini, Hurkacz, Draper and Struff that are good on it. With all this in mind I think 40 on Fritz is reasonable.

And even Alcaraz and Sinner look beatable. And always bigger chance of an upset on the hit and hope surface than clay.

anyone know what's going on with Rybakina? things getting super strange with her of late. the pissy/poor/arrogant attitude in press conferences, the withdrawing from tournaments before they even start, and the problems with her health/allergy related. oh, and the problems with her sleep she mentioned she had been suffering with. it's quite the mystery what's going on with her, and this is before we consider Mr. Vukov's influence in all this..

I think they cited match fixing as reason for changing to one ball to one set but there's none of that on the main tour these days, and there hasn't been on challengers even lately and I don't issues flaring up just because they change the rules back.

It's always a gamble with Ons and her health, but while she has the trainer on every other match she only retires about once per year on average so this was pretty annoying. And a big jinx to myself for what I wrote 35 mins ago

At least only 3 more weeks and two more days of this clown surface. Well there's Newport too, but at least there are other things going on for that.

They make changes and then I don't think they analyze these. Like the change from "all bets stand" to "has to start" on outrights. Yes it probably resulted in fewer complaints from people backing Serena in some tinpot event she never intented to start but it did kill liquidity in outright markets that aren't Slams.

In back to back weeks J.M. Cerundolo drifts like a barge shortly before a match. Last week against Torres from about 1.4 to about 1.8 in about the hour before the match. Today from about 1.25 to 1.6x in the hour before the match.

Against Torres he won, but he kept touching his main arm (no MTO I think).

Feels like the trainers at these tournaments are like Sunak's bodyguards. Using their knowledge on Cerundolo's arm last week and this week the leg to profit.
