We could finally get that elusive battle between Halep and Navarro there that the world is longing for.

With her scheduling tendencies Navarro will probably play the week right before RG as well.

She's still young so it makes sense to play often. I think her best surface is hard courts and she needs to improve her clay court game so lots of matches can't hurt

I thought this was some silly gimmick of mine, but no, so why are we waiting for this?

oh and edy I assume you didn't do Dasha against Tadde either? interested in how high Dasha match odds traded when she was losing in the 1st set. I assume probably around 1.9x

Zephyrhills was a W25 last year, not a W75 like this year, and it was won by Makenna Jones.

It was also played in the same week (April 17 to 23) as a W100 in Charleston, which was the tournament Emma played (and indeed won) Happy By this time last year Emma had then also transitioned to the red European clay.

She was low 1.1s prematch and generally dictated proceedings. Just didn't convert her chances (kept being broken from 40-15 up). At 2-4 she was 1.5s, maybe 1.6s I think.

Do the betting favourites ever lose in Eurovision these days if the song is somewhat jury compatible?

Depends on how much a margin they will get with the tele votes, and how much of a margin it's competition will get with the jurors !

Finland and Italy in the past have been huge tele vote winners, but still beaten !

Ireland and Croatia are both very good. Netherlands had a bit of fandom for the music video version, but their live version just ....loses a lot.

If you can get a bet with a bookmaker, then 10/1 Ukraine each way with 1/5 for 4 places is definitely a good bet. I see this top 4, and if no insiders I think a live chance to win outright - though it will want a favourable draw which is yet to be determined !

Toad it feels like the jury part decides the winner before they even do the show, because the juries tends to go towards a certain country but then the televote is more polarised so it can't effect as much

When there's been a big fave, I don't recall it happening in a long time. Most recent outsider were those wacky Finns in 2006.

And then you also have the group of the really, really, really ardent trans activists that lose it over Ireland because the song uses a death spell that also appeared in Harry Potter and it supposedly promotes that SUPERTERF JK Rowling.
