After five hours of studying Marta Kostuyk, I finally found an arb.
I suppose pickleball is nice on the body so Genie can come back when her deal is up, if pickleball doesn't cause you to unlearn all your tennis skills.
But also I thought Genie was super rich from the lawsuit and didn't need to switch to a lesser sport because of a good money offer.
I thought the first set lived up to the hype tbh. Emma is only a few twists of the spanner from being able to do something and Iga really had to up the intensity in the tie break.

Players that don't retire are the very best people. Unless I bet on them, they are losing hopelessly and it's still the first set.

They should retire when they're injured so in that case Roger was his worst emeny in some matches late in his career because of stubbornness. Sulk retirements are the worst though.
The one thing we've learned is that only Leylah's mum can stop her making ludicrous sacrifices not to retire. She doesn't really listen to Jorge (although there's a guy on TF who's convinced he is the key to everything she does)
A mug like Trevisan in a big match such as a RG QF when you're close to winning. That's a tough judgement call.
Parently are generally going to be overly worried about their children's health so they're not always the best to listen to.
Think Aneke has also told her Holger Vitus to retire here and there during a match.

Very easy first round with her up against a 19 year old true local waitress that has never barely ever won games in the 10 professional matches of her career. Second round likely against Fourlis, who hasn't been too hot this season and isn't a clay masteress to begin with.
