Vacherot is coached professionally by his half-brother Benjamin Balleret, a retired tennis player. He is cousin to Arthur Rinderknech[2] and a nephew of Virginie Paquet.

Losing to Sinja Kraus apparently made her sick.

Not sure why you'd step on court to begin with if you are sick to the point you can't win a game against Sinja Kraus and last past seven games. Let Svendsen play. She won two clay W15 in Denmark two and three years ago respectively and almost recorded a win at W25/35 on the surface that one time.

Or Munk Mortensen, who has two W15 clay tournaments to her name and (!) a win at W25 level.

People on TF are writing about olympics eligibility regarding Wozniacki, but I don't know how valid that is.

Ostapenko had her usual struggle against a lowly ranked opponent. The former RG champ needed a final set tiebreak to get past home girl F. Jorge.

Not sure that person is entirely correct. I cannot find a rule that states that lucky losers who lose their "MD debut" only get qualifying points. What I can find is:

Lucky Losers earn Main Draw ranking points based on the highest
round reached in the Main Draw plus the ranking points earned in
Qualifying, unless they lose in the first round of the Main Draw, in
which case they receive only the ranking points earned in Qualifying.

Bucsa and Day lost their first round of the main draw, but they didn't lose in the first round of the main draw. So the bye ranking rule might apply, where the byed player gets first round ranking points.

No one played more deciding third sets in 2023 than Hurkacz. Out of 55 best-of-three starts, he went the distance 32 times. That’s more three-setters–and a higher rate of them (58%)–than any player-season this century. On average, about 35% of ATP matches go three. Since 2000, only 16 players have posted a full season where they went to a third set more than half the time.

This is new territory for the 26-year-old from Poland. He reached a decider in only 35% of his three-setters in 2021, then increased that clip to 45% in 2022. The main difference between his 2022 and 2023 seasons was that his already small margins shrunk even further. He won matches at almost the same rate both years, even though he broke a bit less often and was less effective with his second serve in 2023. He converted his three-setters at exactly the same rate (62.5%) in both seasons.

Wenn former almost top 50 player Julia Grabher was away for a bit more than half the year, people on TF suggested she was just waiting out the six months to be eligible for protected ranking for a return on her favourite clay surface. Instead it looks like she actually rushed her return to the clay with her going 0/4 in her return so far. A 3-setter against Noha Akugue and straight set losses against Pia Lovric (lol), Tauson (ok) and Szabanin (lol).

One of the Nordic's finest players, Viktor Durasovic, already lost against Kaylan Bigun, who nobody apart from his mom will know even plays tennis, as a ~1.25 favourite in the final round of qualification yesterday. Today he got the chance for revenge as a lucky loser and a doubled prematch price, but he again lost in straight sets to te same opponent.

I learned last night that "Son of a Biscuit" was used by South Park's Butters Stotch before Donald Young used it at the 2014 Sarasota challenger against Zverev. The US American must be a big fan of the adult cartoon.

Not offered. BF generally doesn't offer the zonal BJK Cup this week.
