What's the views on Alcaraz v Medvedev semi here?

I was initially drawn to finding value in Med, but couldn't convince myself and felt everything was pointing to a fairly simple win for Carlos. So had a small one on him around 1.28 in the end. The match up and recent form seem to have him clear to me, and if Med had won a bit less easily against Rublev I think Carlos would be even shorter than this.

I'm constantly looking for reasons to oppose this flipping '15 slams+' prediction the phorum keeps trotting out on Carlos. But the way he carved through the eyecatchingly potent Arnaldi and the hot form player of the tournament (Zverev) is weakening my resistance.
I don't see him losing tonight. There's something not quite human about him.

Given how good Medvedev is, you'd think he'd be a threat against Carlos, but given the way Carlos obliterated him last time they played, it's hard to see Medvedev do much today.

Glad to see some consensus on the Carlos win then, looks very likely IMO.

phorum consensus isn't always a good thing

Rafa/Novak has the record for most consecutive Slam finals (4), but it feels like Carlos/Novak could match or exceed it. Only at 1 at the moment, but 2 feels very likely. Would have been 3 if they hadn't been on opposite sides of the draw at Roland Garros. (To add to that, Carlos didn't play AO this year and Novak didn't play USO last year).

Rafa is lurking and could of course be a threat at RG next year, but it's gonna be tough at 38 with his body.

Tip the hat to Laslo Djere for winning two more sets against Novak then the rest of his opponenets combined.

Never the GOAT for overheads.

Lots of people have a discourse against Novak, so will look for anything to have a go at him !

If it was Frances doing it, everyone would be calling it the coolest/coldest celebration they had ever seen !

Frances would carry it with class and humour instead of arrogance and disdain.

Tbf, Novak is probably the most charismatic of the 3 & was loved until he started winning especially v Roger at Wimbers.
