So that's a shrewd play. That being said I'm disappointed not to see support for the young Polish player Iga Swiatek. I think she's fantastic value along with big hitting Belarussion Sabalenka and the confused Russian Elena Rybakina. I'll let you into a secret, here on ESPN we call these three players the 'Big 3' and they are definitely going to dominate for years to come. What can possibly go wrong. Where's my Diet Coke? Here at the mesmerised mansion complex, we call The big 3 in women's tennis, Sorana, Mihaela and Cirstea, known as Romanian, Warrior and Pricess to her fans. Someone also needs to tell Evert Iga is not a grass court player, will struggle with lower bouncing balls, her extreme western grip that generates a helluva lot of power and spin is great n'all, but first try and get your raquet at the height you're used to to even make that shot as effective as it is on clay and hard against players of calibre, not called Maria, Teichmann and Blink182ova, even adopting the semi open stance to rotate the hips to maximise acceleration on the raquect head will be difficult on a surface notorious for players struggling to find their feet especially in the first week where it's slippy and less worn than the second. Bencic on the other hand can be an excellent grass court player, most players struggle over time to reach a 50/50 win/loss record on the green, Belina has a near 70% win rate, her slam success is long overdue, like the Ice age. Chrissy is right about Ryba and Saba, but Muchova and Haddad Maia are capable of winning those duels and I fancy the upsets, both can also play the green green grass. what a terrible day, 2 quarter picks and a subsequent finalist out already, Gauff has screwed it up, all in on Bencic winning Wimbledon. Don't know what's happened to this mug Felix, he looked great on grass once, looks a run-of-the-mill player now, as does Shapovalov, remember how hyped he was, Andrew Castle used to drop his boxers as soon as the cameras panned on him.

Etchverry is basically a pure clay court player who has no real grass court experience to speak off, he's only ever won 2 matches on the surfaces, 1 yesterday against a fellow clay specialists and another against a player who's never been in the top 140 in the world, Wawrinka played on Monday and won in straights, Etchverry finished his match late last night and that was a 5 setter, Stan has won many matches on grass over the years, that's the simple version, did not see either of their matches and haven't heard of any injury, I think Stan being favourite is fair.

said earlier in the day they should not put her on late on Centre court, with all the lights, focus and media attention, and all the stars watching in the box, rabbit in the headlights, blame the LTA, mugs, did the same with Emma when she was new on the scene and she succumbed to the same pressure against Tomljanovic when she was going fine on the outside courts beforehand.

this has basically been pointless since the first round as it was over at that point,  unlike the French open first round which finished in +6.27 after Round 1, here it was -19.54, a difference of nearly 26pts, with 12 more correct predictions in R1 at the FO, 69.6%, over 9% less at Wimbledon, it does make sense, it was difficult trying to predict most outcomes given there's such as small sample size of results to go on as with most players on grass the season is so short, a lot of players barely played on it at all, that's my excuse anyway, no excuses with the women's outright, that was just s***, there was some bad luck, Badosa pulled out, Haddad Maia retired injured but overall rubbish. Much better on the mens side where I nearly got everything right with the main picks bar Fritz winning his quarter. Kind Regards.
