that rule should be looked at imo. getting a point penalty at that stage of the match is huge. Would be like if in football Messi misses a sitter in the 83 minute, let's out a big PUTA MADRE and opposing team gets a penalty kick because of it. Stage in match shouldn't matter of course, but swearing (directed at yourself) should never result in a point penalty imo. Fine them, sure, but don't let it decide a match.

Sakkari goes to Linz to vulture instead of playing Abu Dhabi and still loses in the SF.

Bencic to me has become more of what would you term a gatekeeper since 2021. We'll see.

On the subject of Zheng's superstardom I wonder if the hype that blew up around that GQ cover could have been timed better, a bit of a distraction when you're trying to get into the final of a high profle event.

With Bencic I mean a gatekeeper at the level of one of the best players on the planet (which I think she is, slams or no slams) and on that basis should be beating Samsonovas but be vulnerable to absolute shooting stars with unknown ceilings on the biggest stages.
