It's Ruud* versus Alcaraz*. Don't forget the asterisks!
I think this will be a tense affair, not a walk in the park for Alcaraz* as some are saying. First mens slam final where the winner simultaneously becomes number 1 for first time and wins a slam for first time. So there will be nerves and muggy patches.
So not picking a winner here, I will go for four or more sets, good chance of five sets. Feel a good pointer is Thiem vs Zverev US Open final two years ago, no Novak/Nadal/Fed, that went five sets and finished on a tb.

At the odds I've backed Ruud at just above even money with a +3.5 game handicap.
Looks value to me - Alcaraz has some possible fatigue factor against him, and as above could be tense and close anyway.
Can't see Alcaraz making this an easy win.

alcaraz is a better player than ruud.......hes 19 and has won 2 masters events already.........ruud is 23 and was beaten by alcaraz in the miami final in straight sets........dont overcomplicate tennis. the best player usually wins as we saw in the womens final and as we have been seeing for the past 18 years with fed, nadal and novak winning everything. stan wawrinka is the only guy who has caused upsets in mens finals recently.

quite simply Ruud has to make this a long match to wear a player who's played 15 sets in his last 3 matches, you can't keep doing that and expecting not to falter at some point, other than that, it should be an Alcaraz win, but if it goes to 5, money's on Ruud.

Doe this Tarango guy always talk such shyte? yesterday he said that the two finalists from yesterday were the "two finest female athletes of all time". Or words to that effect. Tonight he's saying that Ruud will win in 2 hours 10 minutes!

i see, thanks mes. He says things that literally make no sense at all. I doubt if the match will be halfway finished at 2 hours 10 minutes, whoever wins.
