Oh hey there y'all!
I am glad to interest you in a new edition of the long-running tennis subforum tradition.
Pick a player each day. If your player wins, you advance to the next day and get to pick again. At the end, glory, lots of forum cred, an entry into the competition's hall of fame awaits the ultimate winner. If your player loses, you are out and eternal shame shall fall upon you. Each player can only be chosen once, so maybe don't pick your favoured finalists on the first two days. All picks count if one ball has been played. If your chosen player withdraws before the match, please try to submit a new pick. I understand however that not everybody can monitor this all day long, so if no replacement pick is submitted, the favourite in the match that starts last will be entered automatically.
If matches are rescheduled due to rain, you are not allowed to pick from them for the new day (e.g if Lorenzi-Nakashima is originally scheduled for day 1, but it rains and doesn't start on day 1, starts on day 2 instead...you are not allowed to pick it for day 2. You are however of course allowed to use it as your day 1 pick). If it comes to such a scenario, I will try to point out which matches you are not allowed to pick on the day.
The picks continue every day until only one person is left, everyone has been eliminated, or the tournament has finished.
Picks don't have to be made before all play starts for the day, but it naturally should be made before the relevant match starts.
If multiple people reach the same day, they will share the same spot in the final standings.

Upon reflection, I'm siding with Mes on this one and voting no.
Two valid reasons
1 I've seen no evidence that both are real people,
if they are figments of Edy's imagination then he is getting three shota at winning every competition.
2 Grant is a Nadal fan.

That they are both real people is not something you solely have to rely on my word on. They are both on twitter, which is where I get their picks from and you can go talk to them if you wish. Alternatively, SamuelMertensBertens knows them from both here and on twitter, so he could confirm it for everyone, as could n88uk who is even present in the chat where the picks are made.
With that out of the way as additional information that will hopefully erase some doubts about the legitimacy, we can still have a referendum during the next few days if you wish. Though, as I said, the original proposition by mesmerised about banned forumites wouldn't even concern Aaron. So we'd have to decide on whether to adapt the question first.

why did aaron close his account ? I assumed he was banned along with grant
I never asked him. I guess he eventually didn't feel like betting (on this site) and winning every argument on the politics subforum should be a continued fixture in his life. One telltale sign of whether someone isn't on the forum anymore because they've been banned or whether they simply chose not to come anymore, something happened to them, they closed their betting acounts etc. is to look for their forum profile.
If you can find it with the forum search and also access it, like so

then they were not banned. They just don't hang around anymore for one reason or another. If their forum profile is inaccessible however, they currently serve a ban. This is true for both permanent and temporary bans. Like so:

I imagine given up debating with politics forum fruitcakes has improved aarons mental wellbeing somewhat, though watching Wolves levels it out.

Covid has damaged Aaron's mental well being real hard, to the point where it is tragic to be a witness to his demise. He's terribly free thinking and cynic these days and is getting blocked on twitter by people with pronouns all over the place.
As for chit chat: I've never read an official explanation. Do you know Cowardly Coxy from YouTube? In between conspiring, in the comments section of a PJ Harvey music video, with Dr Crippen (Jack Dawkins) and a certain JS M on getting perceived lefties banned and taking banning requests from Jumping-cuckoo-Monk/Fire-and-Ice (sabrehill1) regarding people that were meanies to him, Coxy tried to pretend he has all the contacts at betfair. Or more precisely the Betfair legal department. He claimed Chit Chat was shut down because all the lefties on there posted mean things about Boris and Patel and the Tories threatened Betfair with legal action regarding that.
I personally think it had to do with people embracing their inner, uncontrolled selfs just a little bit too much. In particular letting loose on their xenophobia. If I remember correctly, Chit Chat closure was quite close to a few people getting banned that were known for choosing not to have a filter regarding their possibly white supremacist beliefs.

wow that is deep, don't even know some of those posting names, never heard of coxy either, rarely went down there other than to post occasional threads and to read the jokes thread. The yahoo comments place was closed down a while ago, it seemed to me this was all linked, closing down free speech, though having been a reader of those sections, I saw it coming, however I imagine the only thing that damaged aarons mental health was spending too much time reading bob and grants inner thoughts IMO.

I want to think all the players who didn't mug. Usually I make solid decisions in these competitions, but then my players throw in a horror performance on the day. And of course the biggest of thank you's goes to Ajla for that comeback against 45 year old Rodina, that was the only time I was really worried.
