seem to have done way more San Jose than Washington so far
need a refresher on my Chinese women's tennis players. so we had a period where Saisai Zheng and Shuai Zhang were their best players. then some others like Lin Zhu, Qiang Wang and Yafan Wang did well. but I'm lost with these X Wangs
Samsonova is going to win this imo. not watched much so far though
of course I forgot to mention Queenwen in my Chinese women breakdown. their most promising star
if only edy was here to tell me what the highlights have been for Xinyu Wang and Xiyu Wang thus far to secure them rankings within the top 100

she has lots of talent and high peak level. Fitness still a big issue, I think the marathon against Cami is why she'll falling apart here in the 2nd.

Cami isn't a top 20 level. poor Emma being burdened with unrealistic expectations from sponsors, parents and mainly media
it's gonna be harder after US Open with tougher draws and having to play qualies. But maybe not being in the spotlight as much will also help her.

Very lazy umpire in this Choi vs Choi match at the Seoul W125. Said their first names somewhere near the beginning, but ever since then it's only been "Game Choi", "Advantage Choi"... How are the players supposed to know which one of them has the advantage?

Choi is ok at keeping the ball in-play, but she has very little pace. Choi on the other hand has a bit more pace on her shots, but she's a bit loose at using that pace.

Choi got a bit lucky in the end. Choi really had Choi on the ropes, but then her legs started playing up just as she was going up 6-5 in the final set with all the momentum on her side. Choi kept fighting, but Choi used all her routine and cruelly sent Choi from side to side for the remainder of the match. Choi ultimately succeeded in grinding Choi down as Choi succumbed 4-7 in the Tiebreak of Truth and Justice.
