Carlos is now slight fave for RG.

Ben Rothenberg @BenRothenberg
·2m Nadal already in press: “I am not injured. I am a player living with an injury, that’s it.…my day by day is difficult, honestly.…of course it’s difficult for me to accept sometimes.” classic humble Rafa. |
By:
Carlos 3.25
Novak 3.35 Rafa 4 |
By:
By:
Rafa gonna have his doctor with him at RG
By:
yeah agreed
By:
think market might have some fitness concerns when it comes to Novak, but it did play that long match against Carlos and wasn't suffering so whatever rust there was in MC and Belgrade seems gone.
By:
wonder if my prediction from a few weeks back of Novak and Sakkari will be correct
By:
wow Ons v Sakkari tomorrow
By:
Paula making another win with that break down (break down)
By:
break break break break
By:
By:
didn't specify, but said it's possible "to do some things"
By:
market not giving any respect to Bianca tomorrow. Iga 1.16 ffs.

Did the night session contribute to his foot issue today?
By:
the evening conditions made it worse? i'm not sure
By:
I just know he dislikes playing night sessions.

Rafa Nadal: “There will come a time when my head says enough is enough, because pain takes away my happiness. Not just for tennis, for my life."
By:
By:
can't he have some sort of operation on it to help?
By:
don't think so. It's chronic. He's had it since he was 18.
By:
do you see any point Rafa playing grass court season?
By:
better to rest up? does it do anything to help the foot?
By:
also when is Federer meant to return again? I lost track with that
By:
Tuesday, october 25 2022 at the Basel Swiss Indoors.
By:
By:
I thought Basel but then I was like "but when the hell is Basel??" lol!
By:
In what feels a lot like a del Potro situation to me.
By:
oh
By:
otherwise he'd have returned ages ago?
By:
it's more the home tournament thing.
By:
yeah. otherwise he'd have returned ages ago at some other tournament? feels weird to schedule so far ahead, and it's his home tournament. could just be to play that tournament then retire?
By:
Will still see him every year at the Laver Cup.
By:
but I think he'll want to see where's he at. If he feels he is no longer competitive due to his injury, Basel will be his goodbye. If he's feeling ok, he'll play a farewell year. But it's also possible he's already made a decision that Basel will be it.
By:
Will be good for Laver Cup if he plays. Team Europe is too strong with only able-bodied players.
By:
old injured Federer always losing at Laver Cup could help that event become more competitive. But he'll probably just play doubles or take over as coach.
By:
By:
mascot, doubles and one singles each year imo.
By:
if Rafa does the same, ROTW has a chance.
