Vera not making the most of her WC's lately
|
By:
Rus(ev) crush
|
By:
that should shut Rus haters up, saying she can only win on IFT level.
|
By:
Vera will just have a massive run at Wimbledon, propelling her ranking to heights that make sure she never needs a wild card again.

Victoria Osuigwe is making her ITF tour main draw debut today. Last chance to snatch her up in the flagging comp before she starts turning heads and Journeyman takes her.

Giorgi has not been too successful in winning points in the last seven games.

Joint Statement by the International Governing Bodies of Tennis
Mar 01 2022 Press Release The international governing bodies of tennis stand united in condemnation of Russia’s actions A deep sense of distress, shock and sadness has been felt across the entire tennis community following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in the past week. Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine, and we commend the many tennis players who have spoken out and taken action against this unacceptable act of aggression. We echo their calls for the violence to end and peace to return. The safety of the tennis community is our most immediate collective priority. The focus of the WTA and ATP in particular in recent days has been on contacting current and former players, and other members of the tennis community from Ukraine and neighbouring countries, to check on their safety and offer any assistance. The international governing bodies of tennis stand united in our condemnation of Russia’s actions and, as a result, are in agreement with the following decisions and actions: The WTA and ATP Boards have made the decision to suspend the WTA / ATP combined event, scheduled this October in Moscow. The ITF Board has made the decision to suspend the Russian Tennis Federation and Belarus Tennis Federation membership and to withdraw their entries from all ITF international team competition until further notice. This action follows the cancellation of all ITF tournaments in Russia and Belarus indefinitely. At this time, players from Russia and Belarus will continue to be allowed to compete in international tennis events on Tour and at the Grand Slams. However, they will not compete under the name or flag of Russia or Belarus until further notice. https://www.atptour.com/en/news/joint-statement-by-the-international-governing-bodies-of-tennis-1-march-2022 . |

Scandinavians are unreasonable hardliners, even if you have your reasons to be well susceptible regarding Russia. |
By:
Though it might get Germany some new players that switch nationality. Think Leykina has been mostly hanging out in Germany for years now.
|

|
By:
Don't think they'll listen to us though. If only Clara and Casper were ranked higher ...
|
By:
edy both Queenwen and Oceane playing at the same time. this must be your idea of heaven?
|
By:
Them both playing at the same time means I can only dedicate half my capacity to each
|
By:
oh.
|
By:
|
By:
do you find it weird to be at the QF stage of the Pokal and there's no Munchen or Dortmund?
|
By:
Russian individual athletes shouldn't be banned completely. Make people in Russia wonder why Russian TV doesn't show Rublev anymore even though he plays every week.
|
By:
and they obviously don't deserve to be targeted directly anyway.
|
By:
Tennis authorities lucky that the Ukranian players didn't push for Russians to be banned altogether. I think their decision could very well be different if so.
|
By:
Probably friends with Russians. One of them is married to a Russian tennis player, although I think Avidzba gave up on a pro career.
|
By:
Actually most likely not married, but Zavatska's significant other is russian Avidzba.

ATP players talk about their best shots. |
By:
Starting to look like my likeliest breakthrough flag this year is a Russian so a sigh of relief, but I think it's fair anyway.
The 'At this time...' part of that statement suggests they shouldn't be counting their chickens quite yet |
By:
They're awaiting responses from other players and the public now as well as seeing how things develop in Ukraine.
|
By:
FIFA and FIS (skiing) made a similar original decision and they both changed them.
|
By:
Another absolutely ridiculous Dodin scoreline coming up.
Could that mental coach that worked with Ronnie O Sullivan maybe help her. The weapons are all there. |
