Thinking about it, putting Davis Cup qualifiers in the week ahead of IW looks really smart scheduling (in theory). Have Davis Cup on the weekend and then IW doesn't start before Thursday I think for the men. Could in theory get some top players to appear in Davis Cup qualifiers....though it still didn't convince folks like Zverev to play this time around.
Sinner and Ruud are the only top 10 players from a quick look through rosters.

I did not. It all makes sense now. Ayumi never had a chance to have prolonged, successful career.
