Do you all think Barty has made her mind up on whether she will play Guadalajara or not? If she has, and especially if the decision is no, why not announce her decision?

Babos just lost the first set against von Deichmann even though she had 11 break points to 1. The one break point for Deichmann, which was also a set point, came after Babos had led 40-0 in her 4-5 service game as well.

Just saw something on MTF:

A Jan Osusky, 21 years old of Slovakia, has been scheduled to play in futures qualies nine times in his young career so far. Eight of them since this year July. Out of the nine potential matches, he failed to show for seven of them, giving a walkover each time. Retired in one other occasion trailing 0-6,0-4 and was double bageled in the one completed match.

Looks like someone keeps entering futures qualies in the hopes that he draws someone completely hopeless and if he doesn't, he can't be bothered to attend.

what a jerk. there should be rules in place to prevent a player from doing this.

For the others he was a direct acceptance. Given that he has never had a ranking, he likely didn't take anyone's spot and just filled up the draw.

Why does the Tenerife trophy say "18_24 de octubre" instead of "18-24 de octubre"? Do the Spanish have some weird rules where an underscore means "to" instead of - meaning "to"?

looks like it's a typo. Quick research suggest they usually describe this with words (Del ... al ...).

don't take this as a sign that I'm buying into the cult of Anett, but I will be cheering heavy for her/against Ons next week after the travesty that occured in Grampians.

Kontaveit was a bit lucky that Qinwen ran into a red hot Tsurenko imo.
