seen many players with sharp rises and hype before slowly plateauing to their natural level. He really doesn't look like he'll be one of them. Though typically a modern player, high energy, all out, bit like Thiem (is he dead?), he has more ability.

Not the new Nadal at all, more similar to Federer and he's win points as quickly as I can approach, but less finesseful (new word)

only question is how many slams, not if.

Glad anyway he beat the guy who spends more time in local toilets than George Michael (R.I.P)

great to see tsitsipas get beaten..........he has a big problem closing matches. lost a shocker here last year.

mother mes said last year that Tsitsipas was the best looking player she's ever seenPlain

I'd like to see him play Federer, hopefully that can happen before he calls it a day, which could actually come any day now.

1. US Open 2022.

carlos was born at the perfect time to rock up slams.......feds career is over, rafa is surely coming to an end and maybe another 2-3 years only for novak........there is no one else out there that can win 6 or more slams except carlos.
we are entering possibly the worst era for tennis since the open era began in 1969........zverev and tsitsipas have yet to win a slam. thiem only won 1 and his career seems over. medvedev is half way thru his career and has only got 1...........the goal is open carlos to rack them up.

This lad might have a future in the game.

Agree he looks the natural for the crown in the game (barring injury).

Not sure I agree it's the worst era though - surely if a player like Hewitt can dominate it must have been something like that to collect the wooden spoon for eras...?

We were spoilt by the Fed/Rafa/Djok (+ Murray) era really, which makes it seem poorer now.

1. US Open 2022
2. Wimbledon 2023

Won more slams at 20yrs and 2 months than Nadal, Federer, Djokovic did at the same age.

If there are no rivals on the horizon for Alcaraz in the next few years, the same way we've had the trilogy above, then we could be looking at 30 slams, but definitely at least 20.

The GOAT for 20 year olds for sure.
The slam record seems a massive mountain to climb.
