just a reaction to her confirmation she's not going to the Olympics, with people thinking she's injured, though I hear it's more to do with lack of childcare policy with the Tokyo Olympics

Poor Sue, Poor Tracy, Poor Chandra, Poor any other female pundit. What are they going to say and do all day now that S. Williams has exited the tournament?

They used to be able to spend hours delivering their little electrical speeches about how wondrous Williams was, totally in contrast to all the evidence. No other, more measured view was ever allowed to pollute the BBC's coverage of her.

This evening we were even treated to the sick-making spectacle of Williams reading some ghastly ’specially rewritten' version of Kipling’s “IF”. Every cliche imaginable was spieled out, including (naturally) some drivel about having to rise above “The Haters”.

Sue was going overboard about Williams and the slipping. Fortunately, Boris didn't play ball and was his usual laid back self.

I daresay anyone who dares put their head above the parapet and delivers some long-overdue perspective and reality about the Williams love-in, will then be subjected to a fatwa.

It's virtually compulsory that on BBC media outlets Serena Williams has to be referred to as 'the greatest female player of all time' and possessor of 'the greatest female serve of all time' at least once during every discussion of her. Both nonsense of course.

Not Serena's biggest fan - have always preferred Venus - but similar comments could be applied to Federer.

The annual BBC Federer love-in is nothing in comparison.

Was delighted when he lost to Djoker back in 2019 due to their overwhelming bias.
