yeah, I can see you not paying attention to what umpire says, but you should know later in the game that muggery has occured.

Is there a massive fitness with these players that they can't go back to back in tournament. Jabeur wins last week then goes out relatively early this win, and Kasatkina coming off finishing runner up looked absolutely spent towards the end against Ostapenko. It wouldn't be a massive surprise if either were taken out early at Wimbledon.

US Open champion Dominic Thiem has pulled out of next week's Wimbledon with a wrist injury that he says will sideline him for several weeks.

The Austrian, 27, retired from his match against Adrian Mannarino in Mallorca on Tuesday after hurting his wrist while hitting a forehand.

"I'm going to do everything the doctors say in order to recover as quickly as possible," Thiem posted on Instagram.

"I will do my best to be back on court soon."

Halep confirms her non-appearance

Defending women's champion Simona Halep has pulled out of Wimbledon because of a calf injury.

The Romanian tore a muscle at May's Italian Open and was subsequently ruled out of the French Open.

The 29-year-old, who was seeded second, has been at the All England Club this week, raising hopes she would be fit to defend the title she won in 2019.

But she withdrew from the event, which returns after being cancelled last year, minutes before Friday's draw.

"I gave it everything I had in order to be ready to play Wimbledon and after having such special memories from two years ago," Halep said.

"I was excited and honoured to step back on these beautiful courts as defending champion. Unfortunately, my body didn't cooperate.

ab injury. market was nuts. went from 1.24 to 2.4 for the trainer call, some eager person even layed at 11. Then 1.70ish when play resumed after MTO. Rollercoaster from there, always looked like Vika had enough to win but retirement felt very likely. Surprised she didn't retire during the match and don't see why she's even playing at all this week given she got a good amount of matches in last week.

Lumpy is hit and miss, but a player doing something like that could be a sign something is not right. Vika lay down during a changeover yesterday, 6 points later she called the trainer and market went crazy.
