Everyone's favourite slam on the holy crushed bricks of Roland Garros is right around the corner, so it's time for another edition for our popular suicide competition.
I hope most of you will know the rules already, but here they are just to make sure:
Pick a player each day. If your player wins, you advance to the next day and get to pick again. At the end, glory, lots of forum cred and an entry into the competition's hall of fame (if anyone can be arsed with updating it) awaits the ultimate winner. If your player loses, you are out and eternal shame shall fall upon on. Each player can only be chosen once, so maybe don't pick your favoured finalists on the first two days. If the first set was completed and your player retires, it counts as a loss. If your pick withdraws or retires before the first set is completed, you can pick from another match that hasn't been started yet. So retirement rules are basically the same as on the Betfair Exchange.
If matches are rescheduled due to rain, you are not allowed to pick it on the new day (e.g if Lorenzi-Nakashima is originally scheduled for day 1, but it rains and doesn't start on day 1, starts on day 2 instead...you are not allowed to pick it for day 2. You are however of course allowed to use it as your day 1 pick). If it comes to such a scenario, I will try to point out which matches you are not allowed to pick on the day.
The picks continue every day until either only one person is left, or the tournament has finished.
Picks don't have to be made before all play starts for the day, but it naturally should be made before the match that your pick
In case we have a tie between multiple people at the time (i.e multiple people survived for the same amount of days), the average odds of the selections will determine the champion. The odds listed on tennisexplorer will be used for that.
I hope that covers everything. If there are any additional questions, feel free to ask.

What are the views on Osaka? I have never agreed with forcing players to answer questions before or after matches but if she has signed a contract she has to take the punishment. It might be wise to wait until she loses as they can't disqualify her after that.

The rules dictate that she has to fulfill her media obligations, which includes doing press conferences if she's requested by journalists.
From a general point of view, I agree with you that players should not have to do press conferences. If the tournaments/organisations insist on media obligations, give players the alternative to shoot promotional things, or to do extra fan hours or whatever. Similar to how late withdrawals are done on the WTA tour. Late withdrawals are meant to bring a penalty, but if you do promotional things you can escape the penalty.

Today saw the ultimate showdown between anubis7, a two time major winner in the past, and n88uk, a previous Roland Garros men's singles suicide competition champion. Both of their players fought hard, but only one of them prevailed in the third set - Paula Badosa for n88uk, while anubis7 has to go home together with Victoria Azarenka.
Congratulations n88uk - our 2021 Roland Garros women's and men's champion!

I asked them to put up a prize for a comp I ran once upon a time. And they did. Then when I was gonna do sequel the following year and asked if they could put up a prize again they said they no longer do this. (But then they still put up prizes for other comps run by phorum users).
