· 1h An interview with ATP chairman Andrea Gaudenzi: - A Masters event on grass has been proposed - ATP has lost half its revenues because of Covid-19 - On the PTPA: "There has to be good faith from both sides" - More collaboration between ATP & WTA is planned WOAH |

Juan Ignacio Londero 2.98
Richard Gasquet 1.48 I see value for a trade on Londero a 2.98. they played 3x, Gasquet won once on HC, Londero won twice, both on clay. Gasquet has played 2x on clay in the last 2 years, lost'em both. |

A grass-court Masters would be a first since the series started in 1990. Gaudenzi: “I personally like the concept of having an ATP Masters 1000 on grass the week of Queen’s and Halle. It is something I have proposed to the stakeholders and to the board."

ATP Masters 1000 on grass is a good idea, but why clash it with Queens?
|
By:
sounds to he means the slot (week 2 of the 3 week build-up to Wimbledon), and then Queens will have to either move up or back a week.
|
By:
ATP chariman Andrea Gaudenzi has confirmed that he is looking at bumping up either the Halle or Queen's Club tournaments
from the introduction of the article https://www.eurosport.co.uk/tennis/wimbledon/2021/atp-chief-andre-gaudenzi-looking-at-holding-masters-1000-event-on-grass-as-build-up-to-wimbledon_sto8292235/story.shtml but then in the actual article, this isn't addressed. |
By:
so could be that too. but wouldn't clash with Queens in either scenario. Unless they make Halle the 1000 event, but if so Queens can always move.
|
By:
not sure Queens can host a 1000 event or be upgraded to fit enough courts.
|
By:
WTA loves to copy ATP so wonder if they'll do the same.
|
By:
Stop ruining my day.
|
By:
you won't say that when Sabine lifts the trophy at Eastbourne 1000!
|
By:
|
By:
oh he's gonna make Queens an ATP Masters 1000? makes sense.
|
By:
You mean Berlin 1000.
|
By:
Germans do love grass court, so wouldn't be that surprising. You love grass court too, right?
|
By:
no
|
By:
well I have to question whether you are really German then?
|
By:
Germans don't like lawn tennis.
|
By:
tell that to Angie, Sabine and Struffi
|
By:
There just happened to be some players who performed well on it even though they had never set foot on a grass court during their upbringing (because Germans don't like grass courts)
|
By:
So why you do you guys love putting on grass court tournaments then? Germans LOVE the premium surface, grass.
|
By:
So why do you gys*
|
By:
guys* ffs.
|
By:
edy is not representative of all Germans. Would be like asking me why Swedes love surströmming.
|
By:
grass, beer and schnitzel!
|
By:
Chardy looked like he was ready to throw in the towel after that last game. Munar mugging a bit in following game.
|
By:
But I think he will.

I thought Germans loved grass. They always chose grass against Sweden in DC back in the 80's.
