ATP fields have some big names despite withdrawals from Federer and Murray. WTA St Petersburg and Monterrey not what they used to be, due to being in a weird slot in the calendar, just after Doha/Dubai and before Miami. I hope we still get the spectacular opening and closing ceremonies in St Petersburg. Late starts in Monterrey so not much sleep for those who want to catch all the tournaments.

only plays Slams. will show up for warm-up tourneys and play a few matches but then withdraw before the weekend. Too big for events like Doha and Dubai.

Media sure loves her. And I think WTA do too, but they mugged by making Barty no 1 forever, so while Osaka is the best the can't go all in because then they would bury Barty and also their own rankings.

Petra plays loads of tournaments but she can't play eveything. it's like they'e relying on Garbine and Petra to carry the tour. Feels dirty. Then Osaka swoops in to steal the Slams

Some of them have legit reasons, and I understand it's not ideal to have it placed between Middle Eastern swing and Miami, but not one player playing is quite lame imo. For those that didn't play Dubai, playing Monterrey and then a few days rest before Miami starts would have been completely doable.
