Zverev didn't ever go odds against. he didn't even hit 1.9x infact. market was always confident. maybe edy is the biggest hitter in this market

Has it ever happened before that player a wins first ten games, then player b wins the remaining 12?

Boulter vs Gasanova looks a classic.

0-6, 6-1, 5-1.

Prices don't even make sense anymore, Vika is already shorter outright than she was vs Mertens, surely Brady is more dangerous than Mertens?

It is curious when you look at a bunch of the people above her.

Take someone like Petra, what is the theory with that? I look at most of the top of the betting and think the prices are unbackable bar like Osaka and Vika, most the other prices have way too many unknowns attached to them.

How many of these names should actually be shorter than Vika?

Barty - not played in ages by then, seems horrific to me
Andreescu - same as above, least has some history for coming back after long periods out and winning, but still it's 14 months out by time of Australia
Halep - Maybe this one, hard to price up Halep.
Kenin - No chance she should be shorter imo, even with 2 finals this year, way overrated to be this price in my book.
Serena - I guess "it's Serena factor", but doesn't partic make sense, Vika was fav vs her at USO, question marks, but of course Serena has best history of anyone with "question marks".
Iga - No, way overrated by market
Pliskova - Definitely not.
Kvitova - No, not even sure last 2 are partic horrific prices, but Vika should be shorter than them.

I look at it and think all of Barty, Andreescu, Kenin, Serena, Iga are bad, bad prices at this point in time.

Osaka's price is actually pretty good imo this far out, 8-9/1 good price imo. Would have her shorter than that (probs like 6/1). One of few players who actually has some kind of form in the last year by time of Aus, most the others at top of betting simply don't.

Market usually loves a top player coming back and showing some form. And with Vika it's been consistent now. Truly strange from the market.

14-1 last matches on hard, only loss a close one against Osaka.
On clay she did about what could be expected. Disappointing loss against AKS, but had some good showings too. And fairly irrelevant for her AO chances anyway.

It's just a matter as ever. Very few people putting money on grand slam outrights 3 months before they start.
