Bonjour Mesdames et Messieurs,

I hope most of you will know the rules (apart from one rule change - see the bottom) already, but here they are just to make sure:

Pick a player each day. If your player wins, you advance to the next day and get to pick again. At the end, glory and lots of forum cred awaits the ultimate winner. If your player loses, you are out and eternal shame shall fall upon on. Each player can only be chosen once, so maybe don't pick your favoured finalists on the first two days. If the first set was completed and your player retires, it counts as a loss. If your pick withdraws or retires before the first set is completed, you can pick from another match that hasn't been started yet.

If matches are rescheduled due to rain, you are not allowed to pick it on the new day (e.g if Lorenzi-Nakashima is originally scheduled for day 1, but it rains and doesn't start on day 1, starts on day 2 instead...you are not allowed to pick it for day 2. You are however of course allowed to use it as your day 1 pick). If it comes to such a scenario, I will try to point out which matches you are not allowed to pick on the day.

Picks don't have to be made before all play starts for the day, but it naturally should be made before the match with your pick has started.

New rule:In case we have a tie between multiple people at the time, the average odds of the selections will determine the champion. The odds listed on oddsportal will be used for that.

I hope that covers everything. If there are any additional questions, feel free to ask.

By average odds, do you mean highest or lowest?
Report edy September 25, 2020 10:00 PM BST
Oddsportal.com takes the odds from a number of bookmakers and from that lists the average odds. I will take those odds for each of your selections, sum them up, and divide by the number of selections to build your average average odds

So for example, at the US Open ATP you took

Edmund, Fucsovics, lil Struffi, Evans

Looking at

https://www.oddsportal.com/tennis/usa/atp-us-open/results/

it was odds of

Edmund (vs. Bublik) - 1.33
Fucsovics (vs. Dellien) - 1.04
Struff (vs. Mmoh) - 1.15
Evans - I just noticed I forgot to mention that only winning picks count for this

So that'd work out to (1.33+1.04+1.15)/3 = 1,173

yes. and if I'm in a tiebreaker vs someone who has 1,49 as average odds, who wins?
Report edy September 25, 2020 10:55 PM BST
The real smb would win in that case. The person with the higher average odds wins.

I reckon I should get bonus points for my pick winning 40 games. Nadal only won 18, seems a bit cheap.

Welcome to the blacklist Mr Moutet, you'll find a seat somewhere between Simon and Verdasco. Although you'll probably pointlessly run around it and fall over.

See you next year Sad

In a big shock to everyone, Alexander Zverev lost against The Smiling Assassin from Southern Tyrol, Jannik Sinner, after the German failed to take advantage of either of his two match points in the tiebreak. Zverev was not his only victim as she also took Hank Hill and SabineIsGOAT down at the same time.

To make matters even better for the man that picked Rafa, the pick of Hank Hill and SabineIsGOAT wasn't even 100%.

That leaves wisewords as our lone survivor. He grinded hard, he grinded long, and he always gave his best effort - just the way it's meant to be on clay. Even more so in the heavy autumn conditions.

Congratulations wisewords on your first Roland Garros men's trophy, and 7th (or so) slam overall!
