So we just need to figure out which 6 Frenchies that enjoy playing cards then.

discussed earlier today, n88.

Angie Kerber is a wall. Gro00nts favourite player doing him proud.

and I see no extra space. |

is it a Roger-Vasselin bug?
|
By:
maybe triple quoting doesn't work

By:
no

It's a pretty big gamble from USO anyway really, if this fails it puts the whole event in jeopardy if it turns out in a few days half a dozen players have it.
|

|
By:
woah.
|
By:
Mugtens your some mo00g!
|
By:
Though it's tough either way as players would be seething too if you just pulled them out of the draw.
The thing is Paire has to have caught it from somewhere, he's unlikely to have broken bubble given there is security watching players so who has come in and passed it on to him. |
By:
There are speculations that testing (the swabbing part) isn't all that good in the bubble.
|
By:
Btw was Benoit Paire one of those pictured in PTPA pic do we know. Because then he's only been in contact with half the draw .
|
By:
i.e that he then might've already had it days ago
|
By:
but the test didn't come back positive earlier because the swab hadn't been done properly.
|
By:
I am not surprised they are doing what they are doing, they were never going to start pulling dozens of players out. Like could you imagine if it had like Novak or someone big involved, they are never pulling one of the favs out, no chance. It still has a huge downside if it goes wrong though as in the worst case scenario you could make the event untenable if you end up with dozens of positives.
|
By:
Either way, it's Paire.
He will have gone partying, snugging girls, snorting all sorts of things on his last night in Paris, caught it there, then travelled to the US as late as possible. |
By:
One weakness for starters Edy is how long do you have to have been in the bubble exactly. Eg. Muguruza, Kerber and co. when did they even arrive as Muguruza was in Europe like a week ago. Not much of a quarantine period really is it.
|
By:
I think it was 4 days prior to the start of Cincy if you wanted to play in that.
|
By:
I think it's 4 days you are meant to have arrived by.
|
By:
The most surprising part of the story is that Paire didn't catch it in February already
|
By:
Did Paire play Cincy, given yer cases been going way up in France. As seen with Pogba and Ndombele out of French squad with covid-19. Not exactly good 4 weeks before French Open is meant to begin with 60% crowds...
|
By:
Absolutely no chance of those crowds surely.
|
By:
Edy stop slandering Bennie on the Paire.
|
By:
|
By:
Paire played Coric in the first round of Cincy-NY and retired at like 1-6,0-1 looking visibly ill.
|
By:
It's going to make all these withdrawals from USO look funny when they turn up in Paris.
|
By:
|
By:
I've not even heard of a planned bubble in Paris though I assume there is meant to be one? Though it can't be like USO given there is an event in Strasbourg the week before.
|
By:
Read that big beards house more bacteria and nasty germs than a dog's fur.
I shaved the next day. |
By:
and Paire has a particularly nasty looking beard.
|
By:
I mean surely Coric counts as in close contact given you are handling the same balls if you are playing someone at tennis. Probs touching same things at back of court too.
