long shot i know but ..i'll be near there a week on friday . i would like to see a bit of sport having never been. not bothered about the big stuff , outside courts fine . any chance getting in , maybe buying a ' grounds ' ticket from a tout outside ? price ? probably wouldnt get there until about 11am ...

Er, you might get a ground pass just turning up at 11am, will be best to gauge it from when they are selling out in previous days. Sometimes even ground passes been selling out by about 7:30am, but I'm not sure we're are at peak Wimbledonmania atm with no Murray in singles etc.

Pretty sure touts outside the grounds simply don't exist, it's just not very easy to get your hands on tickets, a few exist online but the the prices will be extortion anyway.

Other thing you can do is go on Ticketmaster 9pm the night before I think it is and see what they have from people who sent their tickets back (resales basically).
