The soup cooks should just puree the onions. Works with my 3 year old nephew. What he doesn't see, he doesn't care about. "Yuck, pumpkin. This is disgusting for Glenn" -> puree -> "mmm, momma, this pumpkin soup without pumpkin is tasty"

Should work with caramba too.

might work indeed.
4 year old caramba: "I'm not gonna eat mashed potatoes, I hate potatotes"
parents: "Ok, we'll remove the potatoes"
4 year old caramba: "What are you doing?"
parents: "Removing the potatoes"
4 year old caramba: "Ok. Are you done?"
parents: "Yes, all the potatoes are gone now, here is your masked potatos without the potatoes"
4 year old caramba: "Mmm, yummy!"

He's an incredibly picky eater, and he breaks hearts all over the place. Stand in the kitchen for hours and his feedback really is "[What you cooked] is disgusting for me, grandma". My mum has not been the same ever since.

that's actually exactly what is done for my nephew aswell. With potatoes too. Or his mother mashes other vegetables that he a moment prior didn't like into the mashed potatoes, which he then eats.

I don't feed it to be honest. Too dangerous. Saw it almost suffocate on a wiener once. Heimlich maneuver to the rescue.

in that case I meant bacon on the hamburger, not the child's head. Sorry for being confusing.

maybe it's grammatically acceptable, but he/she if known, or the child.

`- onion rings (is deep fried)

- oven toast with cheese and onion (optional bacon)

- onion soup (has cheese breadcrust on top) bacon can definitely be added. He will eat this sup

- meatballs, the onions are inside the meatball. if i know anything about kids they love meatballs

- hotdogs. another heimlich at worst

- ragout of anything, has silky soft onions in it

- peanut sauce. stuffed with onions. toddlers of all ages love peanut sauce
