Well na, it happens when you are low ranked, you are at mercy of draw. A lot of players would have beaten her too, but this was bad draw drawing like top 10% of the draw.

So she's wildcarded into the draw and now people moan about the draw Laugh

I don't moan about the draw, highlighting the pot luck element.

not true, other slams are just as bad with these silly reciprocal wildcards.

Dart ended 2017 at 315 and is now inside the top 180, is rewarding improvement bad. it's not like hers in particular is to a player plodding along at the same rank years on end

He means Wimbledon are better than other slams other than US maybe. But US is more a product of having so many players than awarding WC's better, US player pool is just much bigger than everyone else.

You can word it any way you like, giving someone a wildcard is wrong, why should someone be cataputled above other players ranked much higher than them into a Grand slam with so much to offer in terms of points and prize money, a ranking is achieved through 12 months of hard work, yet over the years so many of these snotty kids are given a futile wildcard just for being British, they are pointless and it does nothing for the game.

Wildcard system is overall flawed yes if you leave it up to tournaments, but then as it's Wimbledon you should try and use it to benefit our youngsters. If you had it as some sort of universal system the better way would be to WC in talented youngsters early (eg. Kostyuk), but they don't leave me in charge, and this also happens to a certain extent anyway.
