Dominic Thiem seems rather big at 75s on here. Had to withdraw couple of weeks ago from a semi due to a bad belly, but was expecting to back training after couple of days. Unless he's carrying an injury I cant find out about. Started the year in great form in Doha. Would have expected his price around 14/1 mark. Seems to be in the most favourable of quarters too, especially with Novak to be tested over a gruelling Slam. Zverev in same quarter and backable here at 18 - i would have had them around same mark
|
By:
yeah that price does seem rather big on Dominic! he doesn't enjoy the fast courts though.
|
By:
yeah, good shout.
on the women's side, the three players with the shortest odds are all slamless. Don't remember that being the case in a while. |
By:
does that mean another maiden slam winner?????????????????????
|
By:
no, Angie wins Aussie Open 2018.
|
By:
Her level of play was there, but I fear Angie is too overplayed to be a serious contender.
|
By:
that is a concern yes. But it's early in the season and she could be fine. Early exits for Sharapova and Muguruza and getting some easy matches in the 1st week would help.

Mirjana Lucic [CRO] she was finnish after that, but if she was able to make b2b finals in Rio & Cinci (11 matches in about 14 days), this should be doable as well with the easier schedule for Slams. But it depends how she's feeling going in. Will probably be finnish for a while after Melbourne if she has a good run, with or without Yarra swim. I also think Woz has a good shot, draw is favorable and she has been playing well for months now, no shame losing to a GOAting Jools. |

it sure is. I feel bad for linking to that crap in the OP.
I see Sloane is 3.05 to win her 1st round today. Don't remember a person who won the last Slam being those kind of odds before in the opening round of the following Slam. |

I see Rendy withdrew from Aussie Open. Does he still get prize money or was that a proposed change for the future?

thanks. I remember Johanna being super honest and withdrawing before R1 last year to give someone else the opportunity to play and missed out on $50k when this rule was not in effect and then the person who got her spot played injured and collected the cash so Johanna was not too happy about that.
