Predict the Next 10 slam winners

2018 - Australian Open - French Open - Wimbledon - US Open
2019 - Australian Open - French Open - Wimbledon - US Open
2020 - Australian Open - French Open

As the likeliness of individual players winning Grand Slams varies (as projected at this current point in time), the points accrued by selecting a player will differ based on certain factors such as…ability - age - headspace - injury record - potential - previous slam history. How players chances of winning slams by the end of FO:2020 are perceived is subjective, however I have separated them into the following points tiers given the criteria set above.

1 POINT     DJOKOVIC     FEDERER     MURRAY     NADAL     -     -     -     -
1.25 POINTS     A. ZVEREV     CILIC     DEL POTRO     DIMITROV     RAONIC     THIEM     WAWRINKA     -
1.5 POINTS     BAUTISTA AGUT     BERDYCH     GASQUET     GOFFIN     KYRGIOS     MONFILS     NISHIKORI     TSONGA
1.75 POINTS     CORIC     DOLGOPOLOV     EDMUND     KHACHANOV     POUILLE     RUBLEV     SHAVPOVALOV     TIAFOE
2 POINTS     ANY OTHER PLAYER     -     -     -     -     -     -     -

Tie breakers: if level on points
i)  Winner will be the entry who has selected the most amount of individual slam winners (My example selection has 5 different players)
ii) If this is still equal, winner will be the entry who has selected a new slam winner or the highest number of new slam winners if there are any
iii) If tied entrants are still level, then tied positions place is shared

Example Selection
Djokovic x 3
Nadal x 3
Murray x 2
Kyrgios x 1
Shapovalov x1
=10

Spoiler: Show

Any player selected from the Rankings list below (or 201+) that has not been listed in the points distribution table will earn 2 points for a Slam win by the end of the French Open 2020. Players within the top 4 points tiers are bolded.

Forum is dead, v poor turnout, not even the regulars bothered.

Switch the lights off on the way out.

And shut the door.

The forum was strangled by the clique about 6 years ago. Not sure if that's ever been discussed? Laugh

Anyway the thread got two and a half thousand views.
Interesting there's no love for Thiem or Raonic
Report mesmerised January 15, 2018 1:39 PM GMT
There's a few reason's tbh, one being the exchange has been closed in many countries over the years so a lot of the international posters either couldn't post or had no inclination to post. The other reason is for the many that were banned, there was no way back, whereas before the bobvegas spamming spree 5 years ago, posters where just making another account straight away and choosing a different forum name, now you're put through a military assault course to re-join including having an active account for 6 months before applying via email to join, most cba. The views are probably from banned posters who still occasionally read I'd hazard a guess.

I can only see Thiem winning a slam on clay, which even into their 30's, Nadal and Novak will probably sweep up, even another Wawa win wouldn't surprise me. Raonic is pretty much a 1 trick pony, if he has an off day serving there is no get out of jail free card as he's pretty limited, though his movement has improved.

Yeah the clique didn't help.

I blame aaron personally, the clique chief IMO.

two more Slams until this is decided.
Report SamuelMertensBertens August 31, 2020 2:57 AM BST
good thing for Rafa fans it says French Open 2020 in the opening post, since US Open is the 10th Slam since this post was created.
Report SamuelMertensBertens October 11, 2020 7:27 PM BST
Not as exciting as on the women's side.
Djokovic 1 pt (won 5 Slams)
Nadal 1 pt (won 4 Slams)
Federer 1 pt (won 1 Slam)

Thiem did win a Slam but US Open 2020 is not listed for this comp.
