... and we're done with tennis in Europe for a while, so we can do stuff during the day for the next five weeks if we wish. Lots of big names missing this week due to injuries (Murray, Djokovic, Wawrinka, Sharapova, Azarenka), but hopefully there will still be good tennis and lots of opportunities for us to make wettquotens. Wozzy has more energy I think. Svit must be bate she was complaining about being tired against Kasaktina
That was a lot of frustration from Woz too. You sometimes see petulance swings from her. But she was flat out smashing the net with her racket there.
Svit surely can't win this match that easy? Wozzy's been in about 7 finals this year and no title.

Svitolina beat her dropping 6 games earlier in the year morrillo, no reason she couldn't do that again.
I actually don't like the way she's playing this so far, but she's still in the lead.

For me Svitolina has been too passive, she can step it on the gas more than this, and has been this year when playing at her best. She did this in Dubai. One way for her to lose is if it comes an out and out physical contest.

Both of these players are so Alike its actually hilarious. They probably are the same height and can bench the same

Svitolina can defo play better than this. She's playing too passive.

I think it's right forearm right (or is it left?). I forget which, one of the Sharapova fans can probably tell you for sure.

Very hard to see her doing that. She's played 1 match in about 4 months by the time the US Open starts.
Also even if she plays, her body holding up seems pretty questionable. I assume if she plays she will go off about 25s, and it's deserved imo.
yeah but with her being female I always assume the practise they get with males behind the scenes is tougher than the WTA she will be ready

She will always be artificially under priced a bit too in this field. Big name in a field lacking big names with no Serena, and a perception of anyone can win will lead to money going on her if she plays.
Sam Smith turnaround now. Saying can barely believe what we're seeing. Except if we watched Dubai which went virtually the same way as this match so far.

Svitolina has stepped it up so much this set. This is the style of tennis I was expecting from the start, not sure why she started so passively.

Did make me lol when you said earlier Svitolina doesn't do a lot really given who she was playing.
Svit in the fist set was doing nothing. I thought she was tired. I made a bad decision laying svit. I lost on the player I knew would lose. It happens when you lay and then the other gowl decides to go into self destruct mode. Svit upped it and deserves to make 0-6 feel like a mug by giving her a 0-6 in the final set of the tourno

There is no way you can be favourite for a grand slam when you've never been past R4, and have zero notable wins over best of 5.
