when coaches climb up the ladder to stand almost face to face with umpire I always thought it was too intimidate them, but is it actually that it's so noisy so this is they only way the can communicate with them properly?

no need for players to do it if coaches do it for them, it only happens in Fed Cup anyway where crowds are louder. if it was seen as bullying tactics, you'd think coaches/federations would be fined/punished.
