Forum Competition - Australian open championships - with prizes

Hot on the heels of the Darts, it's the latest forum competition, this time for Tennis’s AUSTRALIAN OPEN:  PLEASE ENTER ON THIS THREAD.
 
This is how it works:
There are 12 sections You have to pick 1 player, Score, round, or number (depending on which section) for each one. The scores for each selection are listed below.
Just put the letters A to L with your choice for each - preferably going downwards, followed by a tie-break answer.

There is a prize, which Betfair have once again kindly donated – a total of £100 in Sportsbook bets.
This will be broken down into 3 prizes, £50, £30 and £20, for the top 3 competition finishers. Entries MUST be submitted before Sunday night at Midnight (UK time/11.00am Monday in Melbourne, which is when it kicks off)

In the event of ties, a tiebreak will come into effect so there should be an absolute winner.

The Sections: and some details/clues/history

A. What round will Jo-Wilfried Tsonga reach – or will he win?
He’s seeded 9 and in his 8 appearances at the Australian Open, he’s reached R1, R3, R4 (twice), QF (twice), SF and final
Choose from R1, R2, R3, R4, QF, SF, F, Win.
2 points for being right.

B. How many of the top 16 Men’s seeds will make the last 16?
Choose from 0 to 16
4 points for being spot on, 2 points if 1 out, 1 point if 2 out.

C. How many of the top 16 Women’s seeds will make the last 16?
Choose from 0 to 16
4 points for being spot on, 2 points if 1 out, 1 point if 2 out.

D. What will the score be in the 1st round match between Kei Nishikori and Philipp Kohlschreiber. Put Nishikori’s score 1st
So, a score from 0-3 through to 3-0
3 points if correct, 1 point if right winner but wrong score.

E. Will previous winners win the Tournaments (Men’s singles, Women’s singles, Both or Neither
Previous winners taking part are; Men: Djokovic, Federer, Nadal, Wawrinka.
And Women: Azarenka, Sharapova, Williams (S),
Please put Men, Women, Both or Neither
2 points if correct

F. How many Games will be played in the Womens final – in total?
Choose from: 12 to 39 The last 4 finals have provided 15,29,19 and 22 games
4 points if correct, 2 points if wrong by 1 and 1 point if wrong by 2

G. How many  SPANISH MEN will get to the last 8 of the singles:
There are 15 Spanish players in the main draw currently, plus 3 more in the final round of qualifying as I type. There are none in the last 1/8th of the draw. There is just one all Spanish first round clash and 2 are seeded in the top 8

H. How many of the 32 Mens seeds will be Knocked out in the 1st round
choose from 0 - 32
4 points to correct predictions, 2 if out by 1, 1 point if out by 2.

I. How many of the 32 Womens seeds will be Knocked out in the 1st round
choose from 0 - 32
4 points to correct predictions, 2 if out by 1, 1 point if out by 2.


J. How many of the 11 or more players whose surname begins with S will still be in the WOMEN’S singles in Round 3?
This is the full list. I think there 3 potential qualifiers beginning with an S who could still be added: Sanders, Sasnovich,  Schmeidlova, Sharapova, Shvedova, Siegemund, Siniakova, Stephens, Stosur, Strykova, Svitolina.
One match in Round 2 could be an ‘all S’ affair and unless one of the qualifiers has to play one of those already in the draw the maximum possible is a highly unlikely 12 (including  the 2 qualifiers who are not necessarily in the tournament - you can look at the Women’s draw to count up the S’s if you want
So, Choose a number between 0 and 12

K. Which of these 10 players (seeds 10 – 19) will progress furthest in the mens singles?
Isner, Anderson, Cilic, Raonic, Simon, Goffin, Tonic, Paire, Lopez, Thiem
3 points for being right.


L. Which of these 10 players (also seeds 10 – 19)  will progress furthest in the womens singles? Suarez-Navarro, Bacsinszky, Bencic, Vinci, Azarenka, Wozniacki, Errani, Svitolina, Jankovic, Keys.
3 points for being right

TIEBREAK :
What will be the total value of the surnames of the 2 players in the Men’s Final, using the points on Scrabble letters?
(for example, Djokovic = 27 and Nadal = 6)

No-one exact, nearest wins.



Other stuff
E&OE – Any ties in any sections, points shared; (eg, if the score is 2 points for 3rd, 1 point for 4th, and there's a tie for 3rd, both will score 1.5)
If I’ve made any glaring errors, please let me know, and if they can be rectified or sorted, I’ll do my best to rectify or sort them.
The organiser's (that's me) decision is final. I'll try to update scores and standings at the end of each Section’s completion.
