I don't know what people expect from a low level challenger event where players can earn more from fixing than playing.

Its beyond fishy....too wary of the 'sudden retirement' to get involved

Currently 4-3* on serve in the final set, and yet Bet365 offering odds matching the spurious Exchange odds. Do they simply have bots to follow the price on here or are they that ridiculously oblivious to the fix that they're prepared to take money on this?!

Probably gonna be broken this game looking at his game right now.

Then again, it's not clear which one of the two is trying to lose (/win).

Ah well, only the one service game out. How unlucky he was there to be broken to love. Crazy

You'd think they'd at least try to not make it look so obvious..

You'd assume that Kicker sold the match.  Whether Lapentti was also in on this and lost the first set deliberately, who knows?  Betting on nothing Challenger tournament matches between two South Americans should always be done with extreme caution, but that obviously doesn't help you guys here.  Hard lines; it's probably happened to most of us at some point.

£687803 matched. Only thing Betfair will do is collect their commission

They're obliged to at least pass on the information under the Memorandum of Understanding.  But yes, practically all that will happen is that it'll be deemed a clean match and bets will be settled as per.

And the winner is .... BF should void all bets. Unbelievable

Has anybody contacted Betfair regarding this match...

In Betfair's defence, they did try to do the right thing with the Davydenko match in 2007, but were completely hung out to dry by the ATP, who ruled that nothing untoward had occurred (which was a ludicrous statement to make, as anyone following the odds could see what was going on).  Link for anyone interested in a bit of background: http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2007/aug/03/tennis.sport .  If the ATP is so toothless, why would Betfair waste its time and money?  Once bitten...

why should this continously be allowed to happen

Continuously?  I can't remember many in the past few years.  Used to happen almost weekly 5-6 years ago.

4-3 up in final set and bet 365 offering 3-1 and 7-2 ... exchange offereing huge prices

This is what I saw:

Average Bookies Lapentti before match @ 2.7
1st set 5-2 Kicker, Lapentti matched @ 1.3 (and below) on BF
1-0 Kicker, Lapentti still @ 1.4
1-1 Lapentti around 1.25
600K+ total matched (all this during USopen 5set clash Tsonga-Cilic)

Apparently the same thing happened in Heras v Mena. Mena 1.83ish SP and 1.1 on BF at 4-4 in 1st set tie-breaker
