The latest forum competition, this time it’s for Tennis’s US OPEN: PLEASE ENTER ON THIS THREAD
This is how it works:
There are 12 sections You have to pick 1 player, score, round, or number (depending on which section) for each one. The scores for each selection are listed below.
Just put the letters A to L with your choice for each - preferably going downwards, followed by a tie-break answer.
There is a prize, which Betfair have kindly donated – a total of £100 in Sportsbook bets.
This will be broken down into 3 prizes, £50, £30 and £20, for the top 3 competition finishers.
In the event of ties, a tiebreak will come into effect so there should be an absolute winner (and 2nd & 3rd).

4 points for being spot on, 2 points if 1 out, 1 point if 2 out.
D. What will the score be in the 2nd set of the 1st round match between Andy Murray and Nick Kyrgios. Put Murray’s score 1st
So a score from 0-6 through to 6-0 (not forgetting 7-6 or 6-7) with the 1st number being the number of games scored by Murray in the 2nd set of this match
3 points if correct, 1 point if 1 out.
E. Will previous winners win the Tournaments (Men’s singles, Womens singles, both or Neither
Previous winners taking part are:

This is the full list, I don’t think there are any qualifiers beginning with a D who can still be added: Darcis, Delbonis, Dimitov, Djokovic, Dodiq (if he qualifies), Dolgopolov, Donaldson, Duckworth, Dzumhur and Daniel or Donskoy (who play each other to get into R1)
No matches in Round 1 or 2 are ‘all D’ affairs unless one of the qualifiers has to play one of those already in.

I wouldn't have thought, mesmerised, that £50 in sportsbook bets was of massive interest to anyone much, not just someone of your standing.
And, yes, there are some questions that are a bit random, it's deliberate, so everyone, not just aficionados like yourself, can join in.
However, good luck, I'm sure most of us will be watching how you fare with a tiny bit of interest. Especially bb66.

studyform, for question I, how does that work with Maria Sharapova? She was seeded but withdrew before the tourney (and replaced by a non-seed) so she's not technically knocked out in R1. It says we can choose from 0-32 but does this mean we pick from 0-31 since there are only 31 seeds now?

My calculation for the bottom of the table was wrong, yesterday, as I've missed to deduct STUDYFORM 3 pts for his Simon pick, which made him last on 23, he remains there today with 21 at best 1 pt down to curious-cat. Only Dimitrov's defeat changed the picture yesterday affecting 2 questions, pumphol., anubis7 and Muntz Street now joint virtual leaders with a potential mmaximum of 32, pumphol. still having an edge on already secured 7 pts.

Of the 10 listed MEN 5 are still in, but for the WOMEN only 2 remain; Keys (who has to play Serena Williams) and Makarova (who doesn't).
Interesting to see Johanna Konta of GBR (well, Australia with Hungarian parents and training in Spain) getting to the last 16. Also the lesser known Estonian Anett Kontaveit who is even more of a surprise to have got so far.
