Wozzy gonna goat USO again n88uk? Don't think so. She might win next week, but I think she will come out a net loss ranking points wise from the stretch. The field seems much tougher than last year. This time last year even Serena seemed vulnerable. |
By:
Though Wozniacki is ranked #4, so it really depends who she draws.
|
By:
|
By:
she goes #3 if she wins the title next week
|
By:
She should make the SF absolute bare minimum next week, but I don't think actually gains her any points. Needs F or better to actually gain points.
|
By:
She's #11 in the race, but I guess should still make Singapore as tends to perform well at this time of season. Really though there's going to be some gaps for players to make large surges to Singapore, because no way does Serena just win everything between now and the end of the season (especially in Asia, but tbh I don't think she will do great pre-US Open either).
|
By:
Honestly Singapore is a total toss up after the top 3.
After that no-one is safe. |
By:
probably anyone from 4 to 13 in the race could make it
(and vika if she's healthy) |
By:
In theory lower than that. I mean hypothetically if Ivanovic caught fire she would make it (I doubt she does, just making a point).
Approximately 4000 points needed for Singapore, but it might be lower this year with Serena hogging so many big points. Vika will have to make F of USO minimum to get that tbh, but that's possible anyway. Right now I would probably pick: Serena, Sharapova, Halep, Muguruza, Kvitova, Kerber, Wozniacki, Azarenka. But really you're just throwing darts. |
By:
I didn't realise how good shape Bacsinszky is in also. #9 having only played 11 tournaments, which starts coming a factor soon (the likes of Suarez Navarro, Pliskova have inflated totals due to number of tournaments played).
|
By:
Maybe Bacsinszky over Azarenka with that in mind. Because thing is even if Vika left USO stretch with like 3500 points, she could still easily just not even play in Asia. So unless she wins US Open (which would basically guarantee her in, especially if they implemented the 7+1 rule

wouldn't surprise me if petra missed out but really she should get enough points
|
By:
Kvitova tends to play well in Asia though yes is way more vulnerable this year given her lack of points at Wimbledon.
It's likely to be much clearer after the US Open, but normally it's more clear than it is right now. |
By:
Muguruza is well capable of gaining virtually nothing between now and end of year too. Wouldn't be surprised if she had a poor end to the year.
|
By:
I expect at least one of CSN and Pliskova to make it just not sure which
|
By:
Kerber would probably be my safest choice outside of top 3
|
By:
although she's done nothing at slams this year yet
|
By:
|
By:
|
By:
Suarez Navarro has more chance. For one she has more points. And secondly her mandatory results are slightly better (both are poor, but Suarez Navarro has Miami F).
Neither are in great form. |
By:
Pliskova not been past r3 of a slam in her career and CSN is too reliant on her coach
|
By:
Pliskova's mandatory results are so poor that she's going to have a hard time actually earning points outside the mandatory events.
|
By:
Kerber is pretty low in the race really when you consider she's won 3 premier titles this year.
|
By:
she did nothing until charleston really
|
By:
edy around?

does everyone else also always get random requests on twitter?
