Nishi is also a great returner but he's not making it tell yet. Cilic has to serve extremely well, but he is doing so far.

fed must have been a mug too .. and beating a 70% djokovic is more of an achievement than beating a 95% fed

@zbrain Of course, how many of them are actually AT the final?

Beating Djokovic was a far bigger scalp than Federer.

There were signs Federer was vulnerable all tournament and he was coming off the back of a 5 setter. Did anyone really give Nishikori much of a chance vs Djokovic? Don't remember many people before it started.

cozz all u have to do against fed whenever u are in trouble , u have to keep going to his backhand ... and he will mug sooner or later ... good players have the game and moreover the patience to do that ... no special skills required to beat fed .. whereas to beat djokovic, even if he is under par .. u have to play well

yes .. my best bet in that would have been to just lay djokovic 3-0

Myles doesn't even travel that much either though. Easy to travel to all these events that are on her doorstep. On top of that almost certainly Myles is travelling expenses paid.

Also Myles is basically a glorified blogger these days anyway. Does she even have an official gig.

This whole I am better than them won't go down well with anyone anyway. It's the sort of snobbery no-one really likes (especially as I'm sure a lot of Myles' followers think she's a crap journalist).

Federer even on a bad day can play ok... but Fed could have played well against Cilic he still might have lost.

The irony of Stakhovsky's moan on twitter.

Let's do what he wants. Let's give the players what they bring in.

So yesterday's final will probably get 4x the ratings, twice the crowd. So these two mugs deserve about 30% the pay then?

do you pay players on ratings or length of match? Same with football...

By:
n88uk
When: 08 Sep 14 22:46
Well football is in effect paid on ratings isn't it.

The premier league draws the most money, thus a consequence is it's the highest paying league (on average).

You don't do it on either Mike anyway. I am just tearing apart Stakhovsky's latest argument in like 20 seconds.

The other thing is. He's moaning about lack of competition for Serena in effect.

Yet when we get endless Nadal vs Djokovic finals, no complaints about a lack of competition.

He's the sorta guy, Nadal vs Federer final, those guys are the best ever. Cilic vs Nishikori final, look how deep the men's game is that these guy's reach the final.

think about it a little bit. Cilic was getting near grand slams.. then the drugs ban.. he returned at a lower level of play. he's worked himself back up already!

he was threatening to beat Novak at Wimbledon but then collapsed, if Mugrin is completely eliminated then yeah he could possibly win multiple slams
