Mazza has never played her before as best as I can see from H2H searches. That worries me. Flipkens looks a very decent rival on her current run.

She's certainly prospered from facing lower-ranked rivals, and has despatched them all in straight sets. She stands on the edge of doing something comparatively rare.

if you thought her route was so easy i suppose you are on at huge three figure prices as high as 810 croker.somehow i doubt it.credit were its due i dont think she has lost a set yet.sabine is a worthy fav on the players she has beaten this week but its not a given she wins this.

her route as it turned out was easy and I don't think you can deny it

that said, she's been awful all year and then swatted aside each opponent fairly easily so deserves credit

as it was projected... having to beat Maria and Azarenka wasn't an easy draw

how many times have we looked at players and said "X has an easy draw" and then not took advantage of it

On the eve of the greatest occasion in sport, I find myself torn between my top 2 tennis girls. Do I cheer for Sexy Sabine, or the riddle, wrapped in a riddle, inside a mystery. all sealed inside a big pie that is Queen Marion.

Lest you mortals forget, Marion is responsible for the most incredible thing I've seen in 700 years of watching sports, i.e. her 1-6 7-5 6-1 'black swan event' demolition of Henin in the 2007 semis at Wimbledon - a match Marion simply could NOT win, but did, and by a mile. A jaw-dropping occasion, the last part of which happened at biblical speed, and caused the biggest I/R carnage ever seen on BF at that time.

So, I think the play is to just sit back, watch and enjoy what will hopefully be an unforgettable occasion. Have traded  up all outstanding bets for level green, and can now relax in front of my 168 inch plasma telly, which luckily I found just lying on the streets outside an electrical shop in Tottenham, August 2011.

My gut feeling is that Sabine will somehow find a way to win, maybe in 3, but it won't surprise me if Maitresse Marion will laugh last, loudest and longest. A happy girl is a dangerous girl, and I think her temperament is better. Her semi-final annihilation of Flip City suggested to me that the Pierce Brosnan fan is in a 'Live And Let Die' mode..... what does it matter to Marion, when she's got a job to do, she's got to do it well, she's got to give the other Mistress hell. When the going gets weird the weird turn pro.

May the best girl win. Whoever wins goes straight onto the highest peak of Mount Olympus.
