Currently a steamroller though the Wimbledon ladies draw..

Talented lady, even if she does get knocked out she can always get a start as a tight head prop in the French Rugby Team.

Aggie Radwanska is my pick of the top half. She pushed Serena hard in the Final last year, despite suffering from the flu.

Have to say it's probably the best day given all players in the draw have to play

damn alun marion on court one,i was hoping for centre court and your appearance in the royal box.you have to love what she said about not having a clothing contract.i am not skinny or blonde so no chance.i think she has it all to do myself today, despite being slight fav.in my humble opinion stephens is probably the best of the young uns and may have to much for her.but good luck i hope you finally kop this time.

Thank you Scarey my friend. Yes indeed, if any player deserved her place on Centre today, playing for a watching Pippa, it has to be Queen Marion. She was also so right about the absurd business of the clothing contract. Hopefully she will have the last laugh, although Stephens could well be a formidable opponent.

Two years ago when Mazza reached the QFs here she was completely knackered after the previous day's big win over Serena, and was run ragged by Lisicki. Today hopefully there will be much more left in the tank after 4 consecutive straight sets wins and no sign of a trainer yesterday.

so far so good alun.the rain came at a great time.its been a bonus that the dreaded skimmer has been of for the entire match as well.and just to add how dare the wimbledon crowd boo marion, just because she wanted to come off, lets face it,it rained for ages so hardly her fault.

Allez Queen Marion. Choo Choo all the way to 1.01

She was completely right about coming off and, as the commentators pointed out, Stephens benefited in her match against Cetkovska by getting the match called off for bad light over half an hour before any other match just cos she was bageled. The crowd lost out that night too. Allez

I reckon the crown is hers for the taking this year. She's got as good a chance as any of the others. And she PROMISED that she wouldn't lose a second Wimbledon final if she ever got there again.
By:

When: 02 Jul 13 18:47
Every chance of winning her semi final if she can manage not to mug this away
By:

She's never played Flipkens before which is a pain, but has beaten Kvitova on grass.

The question now is whether Marion can win Wimbledon without dropping a set.

Marion was 100% correct btw commentators to come off for rain. It hammered down minutes afterwards.

Quite the bounty Alun. Flipkens to beat surely an odds on shot for that?
By:
alun2005
When: 02 Jul 13 19:00
Mazza has never played her before as best as I can see from H2H searches. That worries me. Flipkens looks a very decent rival on her current run.
