totally agree
Djoko 1.7x for me, simply has to win first set imo, he's about 97& lifetime when winning the first set so if he was say 1.8 to win first set then 1.7 to win the match absolutely essential for muzz to win the first |
By:
I would like murray to win, but if my life savings were on it, I'd have to lump it on Novak
|
By:
good thread. no point waiting around to start this thread

On grass, Murray to win.
Murray will take great confidence from the straight sets Olympic win. Same suface. same place. Grass negates Djokovics sliding and retriever at it's most extreme. Murray better grass courter. More depth to his game. All imo. |
By:
hope your all right , bought djok murray final at 38 on the spreads at start of tournament , 25 for finalist and 100 if both make it , heres hoping
|
By:
I think Djoko will win but my heart say Murray
|
By:
If Murray does make it to the final I think it would be a nice touch for him to start with a little bit of saw dust in his pocket and use it to dry his hands.
|
By:
murray is better on grass than djocko imo id be backing muzza that day and i never back muzz
|
By:
all in Murray at anything above evens
|

Novak seems to be lacking something compared to 2011. Perhaps the fire in his belly is not as intense but he certainly looks beatable. He had Nadal at RG but played too defensively in the final couple of games. It was aggression that gave him the upper hand against Nadal but he finished the match rather timidly.
When he is really dominant he injects real pace and hits angles and lines to perfection, i just don`t feel it with him now and if Murray can start confidently he can win this thing. |
By:
Murray is better on grass
Djokovic doesn't move as well on it Djokovic 1-4 on grass against the other big 3 (2011 final) Wimbledon Final and Olympic gold vs So if you're backing Djokovic at a crap price on the basis of a mental edge then gl |
By:
Djokovic should be fave on any other surface, but not this one
|
By:
yourek says no
|
By:
Yurek should also be fave vs Novak on grass
|
By:
Murray for me. I think that enforced break from injury and the extra preparation he got in, importantly on grass, will be the difference.

they count the chicken before they hatch??

I hope there won't be Nole v Murr final. I'll lay that option. NOW!
|
By:
no point beating about the bush
|
By:
If one of them never made the final, whoever went on to win it, would really have only won a cheapened slam, like fed did before the the real big 4 took hold
|
By:
Cheap?
Going through T. Haas, Berdy, Ferrer just to get to final doesn't seem cheap to me. |
By:
so thats djokers route, that is cheap, when they leave the game having won no slams and barely a masters between them can djoker really say winning wimbledon 2013 was well deserved having played a lorry load of slamless wonders and avoided the the real big guns
|
By:
gotta love asterisked titles
|
By:
good point Uluru
|
By:
btw
in regards of cheap routes... only 4 other guys have slams and very few have masters cause the big 4 dominate them. you're not gonna have decorated players throughout that route |
By:
you have a former no.2, a former wimbledon championship and either a slam finalist this year or a slam winner
|
By:
how many dudes starting this years Wimbledon have a slam?
|
By:
former wimbledon finalist even
|
By:
5
|
By:
good point. elusive commodity
|
By:
Robredo, Youzhny, Gulbis?, then perennial choker Mugro, Janowicz or Paire
vs Haas, Berdych, Ferrer/Delpo |
By:
behave yourselves, you're talking about also rans, the nearly men or the men of yesteryear, if novak wins this not having played murray then it's clearly a cheap slam
also, what you mean by asterisk titles? |
By:
yeah, two biggest threats lost to Darcis and Stakhovsky lol
Djokovic must have been worried about them |
By:
are you not familiar with the concept of asterisking something
|

By:
come on aaron ur brighter than that, nadal had bad knee and fed had bad day it happoens
but im really talking about the murray match up - aplayer in his peak physically and mentally it's obvious |
