will be 26°c with 10mph wind according to the forecast for friday, the sun/heat helps nadal and his 'spin' as it changes the surface nature to give it more zip on bounce , his first 4 matches were on cold, windy days hence average performances and dropped sets in R1 +R2 so Novak can't even have that advantage, I wouldn't bother reading anything into the thrashing of wawa, he was burnt out and has always been rafas whipping boy, this is the only match on tour that nadal has to adapt to to win - he won't dominate the baseline rallys and will have to make more unnatural net approaches, expect an epic either way,

I'm laying Nadal, he will trade higher no doubt

Djoko took him all the way on his surface, in conditions that suit rafa massively.  Can see why he is such a bad matchup for rafa - on any other court he smashes him.

Another RG title for rafa though!  Greatest clay courter of all time without doubt.

I'm not trying to turn it into a zero-sum luck competition. I'm just saying that once we had arrived at that stage in the match, it was Nadal's fortune that Djokovic failed to execute a couple of simple overheads (for a player of his standard) that mostly determined the result.

Nadal deserved it. Only point that matters in these big matches, is match point. And winning match point. Nadal certainly played better & was more consistent throughout the match.
Report HonkyJoe June 7, 2013 5:03 PM BST
Miss Wimbledon?? Over that??  What sort of a wuss are you, Impossible?    He made mistakes and he'll come back on a surface that suits Nadal less well, and probably win.     He certainly won't be thinking about missing Wimbledon!!

i agree, Murray have saved a lot of energy, a good bet for wimbledon. His win against federer in the olympic was for me the best match he have ever played at wimbledon.

But i think it is to close between the top, so i am not betting on the top guys for know

Murray
federer/Nadal/Djokovic
Del potro/Berdych/Tsonga/
Outsiders Ferrer/gasquet/raonic and Haas.

my view.
