Maybe play another Bastad or Stockholm one day. Then again, his current resumé would already say his last result is a win in Bastad.

I read a recent interview with him. There's some progress, but it's going very slow.

Personally don't think he'll play Båstad or Stockholm if it's just to say goodbye.

Found some other articles on CNN as well, for instance one on Isner where he talks about his friendship with Mahut after that Wimbledon match and I also learned that he is a big wrestling fan (WWE).

Indian Wells, can someone tell me why they are giving that 30 year old lump Mattek Sands a wildcard? what is the point? there should be some kind of Rule that governs pointless wildcards being given out, you can understand it with the 5 younger American's all 22 or under but this is pointless. You can only assume it's an American thing because 'she's a bit of  character', it's times like this when you need a head in hands emoticon.

And why are they given a wildcard to Vekic again? I don't see what's she's done to warrant one, after KL last year she barely won any matches at tour level (4) and had a poor year thus far, also Serena should have been denied a WC, what a liberty leaving it that late before flouncing in at the last minute deciding you want to play when you've only had 14 years to think about it, and denying someone's else chance, someone more worthy, someone ranked 142 and need of a boost in confidence.

IMG owns Miami, Cirstea is an IMG player, that's the only reason she got a wild card there. Larry Ellison would've never ever in a million year given that hopeless case of a ballbasher a wild card.

Not including qualifying matches, since KL14, she's won 4 tour matches, maybe the yanks are planning on nationalising her.

Ah, yes, I didn't spot the Q letters next to the matches on matchstat. It's worse than you thought. Three of those six matches were qualifiers, leaving only three tour wins for Vekic after week 16 (KL) last year. Vinci at Wimbledon, Savchuk at Baku, and Minella at Tashkent.

I think this is a case of a name being very long and exceeding a certain number of characters rather than pure muggery. It says the same for her match tomorrow.

no I meant she won four matches since KL14, just said 2014 but read the wins at tour level and not including qualifiers right. She will lose R1 here too.
