Rob, watch out for Donna Vekic. Very young, but she has plenty of potential. And she's been training in England for some time, so the Wimbledon crowd will be sure to brand her an almost-Brit!

She left herself just a bit too much to do there. Tough to sustain it when you've had to fight your way back from four down. (Just ask Bartoli!!) Still very much in this though.

Unless she's been bummed senseless the last 24 hours, 3 hours on a tennis court is NOTHING. you guys need seriously re-condider the 'fitness' card. These are highly paid full time athletes. She is 18 ffs. Fitness is no issue, only claa, of which Robson is far superior to Stephens ( no disrespect - a fantstic player) but not in Robsons league when it comes to a real match.... Looking at this thread and the match thread for the Kvitova match some people need to wise up to how good she is at the moment and will be or there'll be some seriously burnt fingers in the coming months. That said I think the 3 hours she spent on court the other night tips the balance to Stephens in this one.  |
