pretty sure robson will win,go ahead and loose your cash
|
By:
could very well be close but not much there to say robson will win apart from gut? handed the win arguably last match, not in great form but overall momentum good v a girl who is also in good form and beat her a few weeks ago...points to a close loss on paper?
|
By:
when they played in hobart sloane played really well defensively, robson was useless making errors all over the place, if she can get it over the net now and again she will win. sloane is basically a cautious player with a big serve who also who flaked out in hobart when she should have won.
robson to win 7-6 6-3 |
By:
It's a pick at best, so 6/4 Robson fill your boots. Massive value punt.
|
By:
Sloane is a better tactical player. She will keep it in play until Robson hits a wild un miles out the court or half way up the net. And how many double faults will Robson serve?
|
By:
yes, I think Robson will get broken a lot
double faults are so crucial in WTA |
By:
Stephens the bet of the night imo.
|

cracking price on stephens, last time they played laura was unable but she is performing well on big stage so it may be more evens
|
By:
stephens has great defense and longer rallies will bring loads of errors from laura, sloane can also pull out a shot when she opens the court ,she can be messy sometimes ,robson last match where rallies were not much longer than 3 shots doesnt indicate any good but tbh it was robson who was much better in rallies than kvitova
|

Watched Stephens in some of the minor American tournaments last year she was rubbish a total weakling, then she apparently started training with Serena and came back looking like a different player, and has had much improved form since.
|
By:
Stephens has developed a lot of easy power and athleticism since I first watched her, here on Betfair about 1.5 years ago. Certainly quite a lot of physical development has taken place and that is key to the style of game she plays.

what time does this match start ?
|
By:
4.30am bst, is the time it is due to start. Laura Robson, struggles with her serve and probably had her longest ever match against a pretty poor Kitova, which went into Friday morning. That may well have taken something out of her, plus the fact, she lost to Stephens the other week, I would have to side with Stephens
|
By:
Seppi and Cilic on before Robson though, that could be a long match, so it might be much later than published start time, especially if Kuzzy goes three sets before the men even get on
|
By:
stephens is a lay deffo
|
By:
Lol a bit stronger than I'd have put it but I agree with the setimenet.
Looking at this thread and the match thread for the Kvitova match some people need to wise up to how good she is at the moment and will be or there'll be some seriously burnt fingers in the coming months. That said I think the 3 hours she spent on court the other night tips the balance to Stephens in this one. |

Unless she's been bummed senseless the last 24 hours, 3 hours on a tennis court is NOTHING. you guys need seriously re-condider the 'fitness' card. These are highly paid full time athletes. She is 18 ffs. Fitness is no issue, only claa, of which Robson is far superior to Stephens ( no disrespect - a fantstic player) but not in Robsons league when it comes to a real match.... English / Stamina haters.... Do One..Vamos (paella)

*claa = class

|
By:
Must say, I can't remember much about where I was for the first eighteen months of my life.
|
By:
Backing Stephens and praying for a nice quick 2 set win so i can get to bed.
|
By:
So if youre born to Australian parents in Australia, how are you English?
|
By:
using the bookies bhoys. it was okay
|
By:
Well that rather depends on what you think 'nationality' means S&A. If I was never even aware of having lived in Australia, I'm not too sure I could think of myself as Australian.
|
By:
nofx i was using betfair and lshunter but both been bad. robson game looks fine to start with but delpo game was awful
|
By:
If you were to say she was Singaporean, you might have a point...
