|
By:
wow they were 2 cracking semis
a privilege to be there |
By:
no interest in this match then
|

fed to spank murray 3-0
|
By:
mur to spank federer 3-0
|
By:
both players in sublime form yesterday - long time since they've met in a big one
the defeat to djokovic in oz should give murray the confidence that he can compete with the very best at the highest level as i shouted at murray just before he broke for the match yesterday 'come on andy, this is your year! |
By:
interesting they have an identical slam record since 2011 season
1 final 4 semis and a qf |
By:
|
By:
i might just die of excitement
|

Federer to win. Murray will do something he's never done before and that is win a set in a slam final. Federer 3-1 for me

I think the word "final" in the thread header should have a capital "F" ... just doesn't look right the way it is.
|
By:
ffs i posted the thread wednesday
|
By:
good call has this ever happened before ?? made tricky trees look like something
|
By:
You could have posted in 20 million years ago, but that isn't going to change the fact the the world "final" should have a capital F ... I think for the good of the game you should start another thread and correct it, this is the last ever Wimbledon, remember that.

Good call HTEHB. I've already held my hands up and washed the egg off my face on Fed beating Joker. Just couldn't see that happening.
As for Murray, I believe I was the only one on here asking for 16/1 on him before the tourney so I'm exceedingly green right now |
By:
nice one
i got 6s on rog the other day and greened up, but didn't back murray at the start like i normally do even tho he was a much bigger prices than previous years i guess i was jinxing him |
By:
Of course I've shifted 80% of my green onto Fed's side since he made the final. I'll be cheering on Muzza, but let's get real. Profit is sacred
|
By:
Apparently 5 live radio starts the tennis coverage at 6 am tomorrow.
Whether anyone will have learnt anything by start of play at 2 pm is anyone's guess. |
By:
only reason muzza in the final is rafa went out. dont see federer making the errors tsonga made and also think will serve better
|
By:
that's not Muzzas fault, it's Rafas
equally the only reason Fed won Roland Garros was coz Soderling took out Rafa its 65:35 in favour of Fed and clearly Muzzas best chance ever - whether he takes it is yet to be seen and he badly needs to win the first set coz i dont see him winning 3 from 4 from a set down |
By:
just say, if you have watched the 2 semifinals one after the other....
the first seems another sport then the second. Don't evaluate Murray for what he've make with Tsonga. Balls going 2 times faster in the djoko - federer semifinal. a no way final for me. |
By:
murray match was better quality no?
|
By:
It depends on what you means for quality... he's too light. Nice hands and wrist, but Tsonga pratically gives him a "free" match.
That is exactly what i means. If you look at Murray versus any of the other players excluding Fed, Nad and Djo he seems the number one. Also i want to make this consideration, both Murray and Federe will have great motivation for today game, as Federer want to come back to n 1 and become the one with more weeks as a N1, Murray ahve to win for his country, but... we know exactly how Federer will play with this kind of pressure, but what we know on Murray? i've serious dubt about it. Also, Murray have to win the first set to have a chance, but he's a slow starter. he goes 3-0 down with Cilic...3-1 with Ferrer... Players against him can come back and win the set or at least the game, but what will happen if he enter in the game today like this? If he goes down 3-0 or if he lost the first 6-1 or 6-2 can he come back and fight for the title?! I don't think so... |
By:
Well i think the price for federer is very big and i will be unloading some cash on the fed here,im afraid murray hasnt got the mentality to beat federer especially as fed will be so focused on the world record!
|
By:
If Murray loses this in 5 will he retire monday morning? or go into depression
|
By:
R. Nadal vs R. Federer would be better i think
|
By:
yes but we have already seen that before
this is the first time these two players have met at Wimbledon and it happens to be the final and the first time a Brit has been in the final for 74 years so I definitely think this is better than a repeat of Nad-Fed |
By:
Never ever been so excited about a Tennis Match,it all points to Federer but my gut feeling tells me Murray is gonna pull it off this time.
|
By:
AC/DC
head fed heart murray |
By:
You just could be right acey deucy
|
By:
I think it depends on which Andy Murray turns up. If it's the Andy Murray that almost knocked Djokovic out of the Aussie open, then he'll win imo. If it's the Andy Murray that froze the last time he played Fed in a slam final, then he will lose in straight sets. To me this is all about Andy Murray and if he can conquer his personal demons.
|
By:
Does anyone think Fed is worth taking at odds against on the most aces market? I guess the thinking is Murray will get his racket on to most of Fed's serves even if they are winners. Thinking indoor conditions will help Fed(likely to get them at some point) and Murray served well v Tsonga but you wouldn't exactly call it a Karlovic display. Trading at around 2.3....tempting.
|
By:
If Murray can channel his game effectively despite the occasion then he'll win.
Lendl has made some important contributions. Far less serving practise for one, which has already had great results. His serve has been the most consistent it has been on grass. It'll be an exciting match |
